rupgraves Posted November 19, 2010 Report Share Posted November 19, 2010 Hi there - I have installed & patched on my desktop machine - I successfully played for a few mins earlier on today on it, to prove it was ok... now I come to play, and the launcher tells me "server failed to respond to logon request" yet i can login fine using my laptop. - does anyone have any ideas what I'm doning wrong? win 7 32bit, virus checker & firewall are in learning mode... thanks Hob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CptGemini Posted November 20, 2010 Report Share Posted November 20, 2010 firewall in learning mode? could you be using zone alarm by any chance? some firewalls can interfere with some games and apps which is why i stopped using zone alarm to begin with. rupgraves Posted November 21, 2010 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2010 rebooting made no difference, as long as the VPN was connected, same issue - repeatable on another machine - connect VPN & game won't work!! - yes the launcher reports the server as being up! easy solution - don't have the PPTP VPN connected while trying to play =D - leave work at work!! regards Hob Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
