Verk
Hello: First off as I've just joined, its good to see this work done and I appreciate it. I've seen a few other posts from the "older days" of folks getting their "MMO cherries" busted in ENB. Was my first too. I was in Orion Server in this game's day. To the tech support: I've completed the downloads, with patches, all of the basic step by steps as needed. Im having trouble with the Net 7 thing. Its saying the server is offline, so maybe it is for now: But its telling me I don't have the current net7 proxy. Everything I've downloaded is from this project site. I did try just clicking (I doubt Im supposed to do this, but the anticipation killed me and what the heck) the client exe, and got to where I can click on the sunrise server. Besides that above, the main problem is it telling me that my Net7 isn't right. Past the basics, the thing Im doing wrong I can't find now and am posting for any further guidance I can get. Thanks in advance and again, thanks for the efforts to bring this back. Verk
C Del[IS]
What version of LaunchNet7 do you have? It should be 1.9.9. Your net7proxy should be version 1.97. You should be getting an update dialog box in LaunchNet7, but if you're not, go into the "Launcher" menu in the top-left corner of LaunchNet7, click "Reset Updates", and click "OK" on the dialog that comes up. Hopefully, this will update your proxy to the latest version and you should be able to play.

The thing that fails me says I have 1.96, and I understand it "looks" for updates. this is when I click Net7 launch. Should I perhaps reinstall the N7 thing? I can-x'd previous versions (from a couple yrs ago when I heard about this) and did everything IAW guidlelines. I don't see the top left thing you mentioned though. C Del[IS]
You're clicking the "N7" icon, right? The "Launcher" menu is at the top left of that window. I can post a screenshot later on, if you want.

I can post a screenshot later on, if you want. Likely I have a wrong version, but I am using what I downloaded yesterday. I don't have what you described. I am using the N7 desktop icon. Top left is where I pick the server. Hosts says play.net-7.org Port says 443. The bottom is where it looks for updates, and I hit "play". On the bottom, my taskbar is calling it LaunchNet7 v 1.8.1. I need to review all I've done. I did remove Net7 via control panel to reinstall. I'll work on it some more this morning and re-post as needed. Thanks for the assist, Verk
Verk
Got this now: This is what its doing. On the updating, its timing out. I click the net7 icon, and it does its thing. After a new install it did some updates, but after that what I get is 1.8.1. At the bottom of the screen is a timing out that occurs. Its not going to 1.9.6, or the latest version due to this timeout. I clicked on common errors on the faq tech support clicky, and even found a similar post on this before reposting on here. The guy just fixed what was wrong with his, but didn't say how. In the net7 window it does show the server as offline along with my timeout at the bottom. The msg for clicking the "errors on this page" just re-state that a timeout occured. So, I just need to figure out how to stop this timing out and then it'll likely be good. LAN settings are already per the faq as well. I am basically needing to figure out what causes the timeout and that may be it. Verk

Net7 properly updated, and I logged into the game for the first time. It looks good. You can lock the thread. Thanks again for the assists. C Del[IS]
No problem. Glad it's working for you. Did you have to turn the firewall off, or did you just allow LaunchNet7 through?

Verk hi... just an fyi... the only way that windows firewall could cause you not to get into enb is if you have it configured wrong... either on accident or on purpose... my suggestion is to go into windows firewall and reset it back to the default settings (there is a button for that) and see if you can get into enb... if you cant then you have a computer problem that goes deeper than windows firewall that you should research just some friendly advice
