September 9Sep 9 comment_108242 Hello everyone, I'm very new to this community and I'm struggling to even get the game to boot up, sadly due to my family switching over to Starlink I'm basically barred from port-forwarding. (For small context we used to have fiber, but due to family issues we're in Starlink residential. I don't want to more into it than that.) All of my Windows security is disabled(Firewall & network protection, App & browser control, Virus & threat Protection), It's more of a headache for me to have those on. The "Local IP" is set to the 192.168.1.XXX protocol, and the Server is set for "sunrise.net-7.org" I've reset the updates, then checked for updates, deleted the AppData\local\Net7\LocalNet7 folder and restored it when that simply prevented Client.exe from even opening. I've checked "Debug Launch" and nothing comes up. I've tried setting almost everything to run Windows XP + Administrator. I've run net7proxy.exe and am returned with "login failed - server not found" I have read that people had issues with T-mobile, but not so much with Starlink. I do have a VPN, and I'm stuck in the same spot with that option aswell. I'm feeling confident that it's an issue where I simply can't Port-forward, but I'm not sure if I've tried any of the other possible avenues before it turns into giving up for the time being. I've spent all day searching through forums and trying different things. I'm also worried that I've also not found the solution in these forums. I am holding out hope, Thank You. September 9Sep 9 Author comment_108244 I managed to resolve the issue, I just needed to restart my PC, uninstall everything reinstall everything, then just luck out with not having an error along the way on the 3rd attempt. Then deal with 3 updates within the client. Thank you me, glad we have Forums. Report
September 9Sep 9 comment_108245 You did not actually tell what the issue is. There is no need to port forward. You probably only have single selection in Local IP field (ie your have single network card). If you have Local IP set wrong, then net7proxy complains (after you press "Start" on launcher) "Server failed to respond to login attempt" and does not even launch the game. If you using VPN, then you might have multiple network adapters and when you have VPN active then you need to select VPN interface address from there. Glad you got it working. Report
