Mimir[IS] Posted April 23 Report Posted April 23 New problem Sorry for the wall of txt, But at a loss for anything else to try. When I last left the game I may have been a bit lippy, and banned? So Sorry if I pissed off someone. Wow I never had this much trouble. Getting to the game login screen. tried every combination of login/passwords and nothing works. I changed my Net 7 password, and can see all my toons. But game refuses to let me in. I tried Mimir and mimir tom123il and Tom123il, assured enb and net 7 are in firewall apps. the Blasti name was a default name installed by devs to test the sign in system 20 years ago, it alright to enter your sign ins over it, try entering your signins for your account, must be the same as those that appear under account tabs on the net-7.org page. if no accounts appear on net-7.org, you will have to create a game account to sign in to the game I see tom123il and tfm123il game accounts under Mimir forum names no accounts under the mimir name as an account name Still no go. I'm thinking a total reinstall may be a possible answer. It get's soooo close to getting into the game. I tried tom123il and the tfm123il, no go. could I have been blackballed? I was a bit lippy. nd yet again, no joy. Uninstalled both Net7 and EnB Demo. reinstalled both. The ONLY other thing I can think of is my login creds. tom123il and or tfm123il both tried and failed. I could try a new account, but if that works I don't think I have the years to re up a PS. I will try to disable windows firewall. I did set up both EnB abd net7 as trusted apps. I created a new character and ALL was well. Let me right in. Soooo not sure what else to try??? Post in thr forums under Tech Support so that a dev can look into your issue and assist you Quote

Try again using the default launcher ;)" I was in a similar situation, I thought maybe my old game accounts got disabled or the PWs were marked as invalid or something. I reset them in the Net7 master account portal but that never made a difference. It was interesting too because if I put the "wrong" password in, Megan would be prompted to say a line about bad credentials. It was only when the proper password was put in that I'd see this error. This was also with all 4 of the Net7 launcher tweaks checked (packet optimization, prototype reorder, disable mouse look, and delete TH6 files). Long and short of it... using a client VPN resolved this issue for me. I do not know if you have access to one, but that may fix it for you too. If you can select your servers, I'd pick New York to limit the additional latency this will incur on your game session. I know for a fact my ISP uses CG-NAT for the intermediate connection between my house and their WAN edge (it's a municipal ISP), so I'm assuming something about that is messing something up in the auth flow. I'm not really sure why this is breaking things though. I could bust out Wireshark if anyone on the admin side wants to try to dig into this more, but without knowing what the other end is seeing I can't do much more troubleshooting beyond this. I have been in game since the begging of the end, and really hate the idea of starting over. But thank you for the ideas. I'm almost positive it is not on my end. Quote

Xxiled Posted April 24 Report Posted April 24 I am having the exact same issue....did the beta, joined NET-7 when the Emulator went live, played for a year or so, quit playing back in 2016 and uninstalled, fast forward to present, new laptop Acer game machine, decided to jump back into EnB.....downloaded all new files, installed, signed into NET-7 all my accounts are there including avatars....tried to log into game using FORUM username and password.....hit the wall....created a new game account on NET-7...it let me right in.....I figured ok fine, ill move my avatars to that account, did that, now, I can't even log into the NEW account I created...and my favorite avatars are on the new account.....honestly, I am about to uninstall and forget this game..... Yeti [GM] Posted April 24 Report Posted April 24 Make sure you use your Game username and Password to log in to the game NOT your Forum details!!!!!! Your Forum credentials allow you access to the forum and Net-7.org logins. You can create up to 9 game accounts/passwords that hold 5 avatar/toon's each. its is these that you use to login to the game on. If your username and password are not accepted but you can login to the Net-7.org site using your Forum crdentials try the option under Account Settings to recover your game account password. If that fails we can manually for the password change but you wilkl need to change it after you get in. Quote

So it seemed no issues on either end on a new account/character selection. My main issue is I have a maxed out PS that it would be very much missed if I had to start over. Quote
Yeti [GM] Posted April 24 Report Posted April 24 There is but its black magic for us GM's and normally the Content/Server dev's do that for us. Aditionally there has been some major network issues States side in the past week that "may or may not" contribute to your issue but as stated in the GM-ticket response. Your issue may be resolved as and when the server is restarted - a request has be placed with the Admins. Quote
Yeti [GM] Posted April 25 Report Posted April 25 I have resolved the issues on 2 players games accounts by forcing a password change and testing that they worked. I'm guessing its either been a case of the players using the wrong credentials (Game account name) and password combinatiion or mis-typing either or both. There is nothing wrong on the servr side what so ever. Quote

I'm beginning to think that is the problem. The reason is I can create a new account Test-mimir and the game works as intended. so logging in with what is shown in the N7 display of my characters is not being accepted. Or the password changes are not being updated on the game side. So long story short. I have 2 choices. 1. Start over (not going to do this) or 2. See if creating a new account and begging my characters be xfered to that login. So.... I would love to get back in, but for now the game is just taking up disk space. Quote
Yeti [GM] Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 I have personally tested the changed Pasword's I sent to you in a reply to the GM-ticket you submitted and Woody bore witness to me logging in with those credentials in-game and replying to a whisper to his HGM account. So if I can login on your accounts, then its something going wrong on your end, Caps lock, fat fingers something or using the wrong login Game account details/pw combo. Since you can login on a new account it is not the EnB/Net-7 software thats at issue. Did you change the passwords before or after you got the GM-Ticket reply? IS Megan just saying " I'm sorry I amd not able to veryfy you login" of something similar if so its a Game account/ name Password issue. It would help if you could get on either the Official Discord of the Un-official Discord and I/we can talk you through it rather than this ping pong text where you may be omitting pertinent information. Also its best to us the GM-ticket for account/pw discussions so please reply to that ticket. Quote

Got that resolved I feed the horse around 6am my time. after that I'm pretty free for a few hours. Thursday I'm headed to Phoenix for a few days. I used to have EU times down pat as I went to Copenhagen a few times a month. Tucson, Arizona, is generally 8 hours behind London, United Kingdom. When it is 5:00 PM (17:00) in London, it is 9:00 AM in Tucson. London operates on British Summer Time (BST) during summer, while Tucson stays on Mountain Standard Time (MST) year-round, keeping the 8-hour difference consistent. Thanks again for all your help.
