Rosnotinan Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) I have difficulty seeing the blue color in chat. The green color, when people log in and out is ok. Is there a way to change the chat color to green? Thanks R Edited July 9, 2025 by Falstar Merged duplicate threads & renamed for clarity Quote

Thanks R /setcolor <channel_name> N N N where N N N represent positional parms with a value range of 0-1 for Red Green Blue, respectively so you could try /setcolor <channel> 0 1 0 and go from there Personally I can't handle the default RED and always "/setcolor General 0 1 1" for a great Aqua that's easy to read. Thanks Jerod. Just so I'm clear, to change the color for new player channel to say red, like yours, i would type without the quotes "/setcolor New Channel 0 1 1" ? Will that set it permanently or does this have to be done each time in game? Quote
C Del[IS] Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 There is a way to do it, but I'm not sure if it works for New Players, because of the space in the name, I think you might have to type NewPlayers or New_Players instead. The command is /setcolor <Channel> <R> <G> <B> R,G, and B are the red green and blue components of the color, on a scale from 0 to 1. For instance, if I wanted Broadcast to be green, I would type /setcolor Broadcast 0 1 0, if I wanted it to be Cyan, I would type something like /setcolor Broadcast 0 0.8 1.0 (just estimate the RGB values and play with them until you like the color). C_Del has already answered and suggested how New Players *might* be handled - honestly don't know because of that space there. As to your second question - these changes are preserved across sessions so you won't have to do it again for *that* character. New characters will still get the defaults so you'll need to change the settings when you create them (settings are unique for each character). Quote
xulei Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 There is a color config tool here that does not work automatically like in live, but is helpful to find that color you want and getting the RGB numbers for it. Quote

Spa[IS] Posted May 12, 2025 Report Posted May 12, 2025 Can you type the address where the color change program is looking for the ini file? I loaded game as per net7 protocols and enb protocols and your program cannot find the ini file My most amount of ini files are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\Data\client\ini C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\Data\common Where the loading the game put them, so This program reads the registry to locate your E&B folder so if you don't have E&B properly installed, tough cookies. Am I not going to be able to use this program? Win 11 Pro. Ghostspectre version. 1 Quote
