Greetings all,

 

Could someone walk me thru how to setup E & B for windows 11 in full screen. I searched the forums and found a couple of threads on how to do it for earlier versions of windows but alas my tech/window knowledge is lacking in converting those processes over to win 11. Thank the gawds that the automakers don't completely revamp a cars' layout ever couple of years.

The process hasn't changed thankfully for Win11, but I will cover it here for you so you don't need to search. The illustrated images are from Win10 but the process remains the same.

 

Navigate to where the game's config is located at, by default it would be C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\EBCONFIG

 

Now locate E&BConfig.exe, looks like this:

 

Open up the file's properties via right click, click on the compatibility tab and set the following options:

 

Click Apply and OK to save this.

 

Now simply double click this file to run it, and set your desired screen options, remembering to apply them when done.

I’m also having trouble getting full screen to work. I’m on the latest version of windows 11 and the compatibility troubleshooter isn’t helping 

 

I am running win11 and changed nothing except all the files on EnB Folder and Net7 are run as Admin. And the 4 boxes are ticked.

 

run the enb Config program, located in the enb sundirectory  enbconfig.  ensure you run it as administrator and run the compatability configuration routine,  run the resolution tests to set your window size for the game, and mark/unmark run in windowed mode as desired 

 

So the performance test ran smooth but as soon as the game launches and I see the first splash screen the game suddenly quits, any ideas?

Did you run it as Administrator and with compatibility settings of WinXP SP2 (right click the enbconfig.exe and select properties for these options)

 

Also make sure the e&b.exe in the EA sub folders is also set with Run as Administrator and Compatibility to WinXP SP2 as well as the client.exe in the EA Games Release sub folder.

I wasn't aware of the client.exe, but I checked and it had compatibility mode set for XP SP2 as well as run as admin checked.

Whats weird is the game will launch and make it past the splash screen if I have it set to windowed mode but it ignores whatever resolution I set with enb config.

Only when I have windowed mode unchecked does the game crash at splash screen.

The reason for this is because you have not applied the settings for it to stick, which is run the Performance Test, when finished click OK and it should stick if not then there is something wrong with the install.

 

 

so i did a clean install, same issue though. Still ensuring both run as admin is checked as well as compatibility mode with win xp sp2 and also running performance check everytime. The performance check always runs smooth.

If i have it set to 800x600 windowed mode it opens a 1920x1080 window and launches past the splash screen

if I have it set to 1920x1080 windowed mode it opens a 3840x2160 window and launches past the splash screen

if I have it set to any resolution with windowed mode unchecked it will open to the splash screen and then crash.

 

I'm not certain what i'm doing wrong here, sorry for being a bother.
 

Do you have some sort of Screen resolution booster enabled in your GPU's Software, I know on my AMD I can enhance the resolution past that of my monitor settings. This may be causing the issue - just a thought.
