Health Issues

Various Joga masters can bend their body so they can sniff their own butt.....

Sorry but(t) I had to,

This reminds me of the age old question...Why do dogs lick their balls?  Because they can.

Just saying...

thank for the up dates Cimbad, its good to here from you, I few weeks ago ago i also had the flu and now also am suffering from severe coughing fits, on top of my cancer issue,

Two weeks ago during my oncology appointment When he listened  to my lungs during the check out part of my visit, he did not like the sound coming from my right lung, so he had me go get a chest X-ray,  I also had one Yesterday at my Primary care Site, It appears that the right half of my Diaphragm (for the ones going HUH!!  its the muscle running across your body front to back left to right  under you lungs  its also called the breathing muscle) Is paralyzed and not allowing my right lung to fully inflate when i breath in, my right lung only inflates about 50 %, which explains why even after moderate activity i am usually gasping for breath,  Now if I can tie to my navy service as a service relate issue I can get my disability rating increased,  also still waiting on surgery to be rescheduled for mt kidney cancer,  to fix my diaphragm  would also require surgery they would have to tied my diaphragm to be tied down lower than it is current located so the the half the works will pull the right side lung down to inflate it, Sounds like this year is going to be an interesting time.

Well  Yesterday I had another CT scan  i got a copy of the pictures and my right side diaphragm is definitely not functioning i had a Sniff test fluoroscopic test two weeks ago and could see the same thing.  not sure yet whats going to be done on that issue, more later.  also yesterday I started Chemo-therapy treatments for the next 60 days,  Luckily my insurance approved the drug they are giving me,  "Votrient"  its a targeted Chemo drug (also $10,000 a bottle) Luckily my insurance is covering the cost  minus co-pay 24 dollars.  SO i am lucky I get to take 4 pills a day for the next 60 days  hopefully it is the turning point in this battle.

Wow, Woodstock, prayers are with ya.  On a lighter note:  $10,000 a bottle?  When I broke my neck and got my itemized hospital bill I thought I was worth a lot of money because of the titanium plate ($4000) and 4 titanium screws ($1000 each) overall bill was $56k after overpriced Tylenol, surgery and everything, and that was the cheap route because they thought I had no insurance.  You're worth $10,000 x however many bottles are getting used + previous treatments, you got me beat!

Well Doctor diagnosis for my elevated diaphragm on my right lung is "Phrenic Nerve Palsy" I googled it , i can be caused by Pneumonia or a mass pushing up from the abdominal region or an injury to the upper back/lower neck area. there are cures bu i will wait for my referral to a pulmonary specialist to see what options are available.
