Sir_BigOne
This is a crash I get. LaunchNet7 is utterly useless atm, for me. Even if you do fix the issue, I'll have to find an alternate way of downloading the updates(or install old version). (?)It seems if I compile the source the issue goes away, however- that source might not be up-to-date(?) (?)Could it be it can't handle a space in the windows user account dir(?) (*)Windows Vista x64 SP2(*) (*)Edited user account folder name, but kept it similar(*) (*)Add me to a mailing list when issue is resolved THANKS(*) See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Configuration system failed to initialize ---> System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: An error occurred while parsing EntityName. C Del[IS]
Try deleting the folder "C:\Users\My User\AppData\Local\LaunchNet7"
Sir_BigOne
Deleting "C:\Users\My User\AppData\Local\LaunchNet7" Fixed the issue for a single run, which it updated the client to version 49. (*)I didn't notice a launcher update(*) Now I get the following crash report, even when I delete the LaunchNet7 appdata folder. Marco[IS]
Here is something to try... Download and install/repair .NET 2.0: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856EACB-4362-4B0D-8EDD-AAB15C5E04F5 Now download and install/repair .NET 3.5: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en Does that help you? Fixed a similar error message on my Windows XP machine. - Marco
Sir_BigOne
The .Net2.0 (x64) can't be repaired as it's part of the OS. Or so the error says. The .Net3.5 Won't repair probably because it's part of the VC++ Installation. I don't know about that, but all I get is an {Error}; If it helps, i can run earlier versions of LaunchNet7 with no problems. Is the SVN source for LaunchNet7 Up-To-Date? Sir_BigOne
Did a personal patch to the problem... File: FormMain.cs Line: 874 Original: c_ComboBox_Emulators.SelectedIndex = selectedIndex.GetValueOrDefault(3); New: c_ComboBox_Emulators.SelectedIndex = selectedIndex.GetValueOrDefault(1); I don't get the error now...
