The concept is to have the player make an investment to get exp. How about if you had to pay a price scale for low to high experience jobs? You could mix it up a bit. This would also help prevent job droning for days on end and force you to go make more money doing something else. Also, instead of managing jobs by level, higher experience jobs would have higher level mobs or tasks to complete so all jobs could be displayed at the terminals. Cost would prevent some ninja action as the investment would become a deterent. Also, If you bought a high job and couldn't complete it, you would forefit your credits too. Because you would be paying, the devs could raise the job cap too As for the faction point, you're right. I think any negative impact to faction at the job terminals would be detrimental to gameplay. This is just a rough idea and I appreciate the feedback
  2. Well, you all had some good points. I have to concede that 56k probably did impact the game more than I remember and did cause bottlenecks when not properly managed by the dev team. I don't think gate spin-up is used for server transition though, the map screen that follows is used for that. (I wonder if new animation can be put in place?) As for the second point, I do realize the Dev team is just trying to get things to work correctly. My point was more for the users that complain that this thing or that is "not how it was in live". I think those people will be really put-out when this game goes live as I'm sure the dev's have a boat load of ideas and content that they will surprise us with I, for one, am really looking forward to that day! (Also, I am a donator under this account, I just was logged in as another one when I posted )
  3. Seems like the hold should have priority so if you were building an item, the terminal should look at the hold first and the vault second. This way you could transfer the item(s) you want used for the build to the hold if there are other versions of the item you want left alone. For non-uber items, you just leave everything in the vault. The game already counts the items in your vault and hold when determining how many you own. (Now this idea may not be possible but..) if you could change the background of the boxes that show the comp needed in the terminal to reflect where the item is coming from. This would offer some feedback to the player to prevent mistakes (i.e. green background for hold items, Blue background for vault items)
  4. When in group stealth cloak you are supposed to be able to warp but you decloak on warp activation
  5. In addition to the last post, group trade bonuses in-station don't work as the members of the group are not seen as being in the same location. Don't remember if there were manufacturing or refining bounuses when group memebers were docked but if they do exist, they don't work either.

    Could the text color in the deflects window be changed to reflect the damage type? i.e. Plasma,Chemical, Energy, ect
  7. Well.... the problem has been going on for days, I think someone would delegate a person to communicate to the community any instructions or requests for information to aid them or at least to keep people from posting a billion times about the problem.
  8. Bummer, still broke. I had got in for a bit but on the 5th or 6th gate...boom Also, you are incapacitated when you finally get in - no exp debt though, just dead in space with no hull & shield
  9. Most DEVs have jobs and lives so there isn't always someone available to reboot. We need to be patient and hope a DEV can get a moment and reboot a server. Who knows, they may possibly have to drive to the server location.

  12. Could the interface give the option to exclude the enbsizzle (intro) video when updating the client? I usually delete it and every update reinstalls it - big file.
  13. Same Problem Snapshot: Set client to compatibility mode for Win XP SP2 Video drivers up-to-date Game seems to start fine unless the PC is turned off or goes to sleep. I have the latest updates for the client and NET7 removing the client-version.txt file and allowing the client to be refreshed works every time. Since NET7 does not get refreshed, it must be on the client side. I have tried comparing the different files that get replaced or modified during the update (looking by date-time modified) Seems like the files in the data\client\output directory, files in the data\mixfiles directory and the files in the release and Data\common directories are modified. If you need me to go further, let me know. Glad to help.
  14. Well, my 2 cents.... I agree, wipes are necessary when major content has been revised or removed. This prevents odd variables between the old and new. But if content is just only added, I see no reason to wipe. If the data structures are final, then no more wipes in beta. I think the idea of adding a few toons to test content is a great idea - I would go further and just let everyone keep just one toon. You could transfer all your important loot to it then start others. If the consensus is to wipe, why not give everyone level 20(?) in all categories and the points associated with those levels from the start. The lower level content has been tested to death anyway. This could be a way to get the old players to come back too as the leveling wouldn't be so long. Of course right before live there should be a wipe to start everyone off on the same note. I hope there is still consideration to increase levels to 200 or more?
  15. I would like to see the level of a asteroid or gas cloud with my other toons. Presently, you can see what it is but not the level unless you can mine. I would like to be able to map these for reference so my mining classes can use them. Color is nice but sometimes the colors are so close (3-4 gas clouds for example) On another topic, is there a database that lists which type of object drops what type of ore? (i.e. hydrocarbons drop brood oil)

    Vendor Levels

    An age thing?? How about not having to write everything down all the time thing. Just because there are resources online does not mean I want to jump back and forth all the time while playing. The game could contain most of the information to be easily accessed. Not everyone playing is OCD

    I know there has been an attempt by some of the content developers to list the vendor good level in the opening dialog but... It would be nice to have a icon displayed in perhaps one of the ad screens behind the vendor to show the level of comps for sale

    Would be nice to display equipped & activated buffs as a separate total within the ship equip screen. You could display an equip and activated column. For example: --------------------------BASE__EQUIP__ACT__TOTAL warp----------------------3000 + 385 + 999 = 4384 (example from RR+ & RR) Shield recharge------12.5 + 2.2 + 000 = 14.7 Reactor Recharge---19.5 + 4.0 + 000 = 23.5 Mining Level-----------03.0 + 1.2 + 000 = 4.2 (sculptor, miner tria, etc) Also Weapons, Warp Charge, well... anything that can be modified by a skill or buff This would be helpful for maximizing configurations and calculating if buffs stack and effects from skills etc
  19. Would be nice to display the last registration point somewhere. Perhaps in the ship equip screen, on the character screen or when self targeting
