  1. Works for me too.   Not too sure how Windows manages it's monitors, but it sounds like the primary display will have the origin at the top left corner, so all monitors to the left will have negative coordinates.  I'm guessing the mouse listener in game can't handle negative coords.  This should be an easy fix, I assume!  Just need to persuade a dev to look for it.   EDIT:  Bug is also reproduced when the secondary monitor is above the primary, but works when it is below.  This confirms it is to do with negative coordinates.
  2. Let me know if you can get it to work, I think the problem I had is either an issue with wine's networking interface (I googled the error code and thats what turned up) or it could be a certificate problem, though I know nothing about certificates! I did add the certificate manually to the mac keychain but it did nothing.
  3. Last I heard, there were big problems with Linux and Intel graphics chips (hence why I bought a Mac!) though this was around mid 2009 so I don't know if there has been a fix yet. Good luck though
  4. Few questions, what OS are you running? Did you install the correct .NET framework? Are you saying Net7 failed to load, or the game failed to load? If the latter, did Net7 update to the current version? (1.9.4) Any more info on what you've done so far would be greatly appreciated
  5. No worries Was only testing it out on the mac to see if it were possible. Havent tested it out with parallels, but that would probably almost definitely work.
  6. Think it's a GeForce 9400M, the one that ships with the new MacBook Pro. And nope, lspci does nothing, nor does the majority of linux commands.
  7. Think I have some more info When Net7 finishes downloading its updates, on Windows it shuts itself down and reloads. Under wine, it fails to shut itself down, the only way to close the program is to kill the X11. If you then load it again from the terminal, it downloads the next set of updates, but the Net7 program seems to remain as the old version. When all updates are finished, the final version of Net7 is 1.8.1, whereas the current one is 1.9.4.
  8. Been testing this out on my Mac, seems to load up fine (ok so Net7 took a bit of tweaking but got there eventually) Problem I'm having now is, I can't get past the login screen. It just throws up the message "EA.com is temporarily unavailable..." with the terminal error: err:wininet:NETCON_init failed to load symbol X509_STORE_CTX_get_ex_data And my firewall is definitely turned off. Any ideas on how to fix this? In addition to your installation guide; there is no vcrun2008sp1 (only vcrun2008) on macs when you install winetricks through Macports. Might be different if you install from your link ... but Macports is just soo handy
  9. User Account Control Tis that annoying thing that pops up everything you try and do anything in Windows. You can turn it off in the Control Panel under "Users"
  10. THANKYOU Really enjoying playing the game again after all these years, and it's all thanks to you guys! Keep up the great work
  11. Confirmed, seems to be a Net7 related problem. Resetting the updates didn't work for me, however deleting the Net7 folder and reinstalling Net7 works everytime (with the occasional reboot if the game doesn't load)
  12. Seems I have the same problem. Game starts up fine but then crashes or freezes after I enter my password. Had this for most of yesterday, then I did a reinstall and ran the game without entering the E&B configuration program, worked fine for a while until it crashed on exiting, and the problem started up again. Vista 64bit Asus P5ND GeForce 9800GTX+ Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 4GB RAM Running all programs with XP compatibility Good luck in finding a solution
