  1. ok I'll admit it...its me.   If you look closer at the screen shot the last action there is me hacking the hell out of him :P
  2. Glad to hear from you again lobe. We've missed you and we're so happy to learn everything is working out for you :)
  3. A friend gave me that engine to print a long time ago but it does drop in the PS starting area. net-7.org wont reveal drop location for its items, searching the wiki might. Even if you fail to print it there are a host of builders that can make you one if you bring them the components required.
  4. So Zzexx what you are saying is if someone doesn't have TS they are out of luck cause Public raids have to be announced only there or TS is a prerequisite for raiding. If someone isn't quick on his feet to "patrol" raid areas so he can see the forming raid groups they shouldn't be included. If someone comes online at the last minute and wants to join but have to make ammo first he is not welcome (1h for ammo making ...seriously?). If someones only high level toon is eg. a JD but you already have a JD then they are out of luck because everyone comes with the toon they want to even though as raid leader you (should) know the raiders that have multiple high level toons and they could switch to something else to fill the current needs. If you're allowing a non Public player take up a spot in the rotation raid while there is a Public player available.   If all or any of the above takes place then imo you're not fit to be a Public raid leader cause you're doing it wrong. The raid leader should be patient, able to explain to the participants the ammo/equipment needs for a particular raid even if he has stated them a thousand times before and be able to work with and around player toon preferences so as to include the maximum number of people available. Should announce in advance the intention of forming a raid as to give people time so they are aware of it and prepare as needed. I know it can be a tough, mentally exhausting and mostly thankless job, at worst you'll be accused of something. If you're not up to it maybe someone else is. There is no cruise control for a raid leader.   I too will help others that ask for help or for my help specifically. I don't have anything against Public guilds, Static or even BI. Hell i have joined with BI on raids on occasion but there is a reason i don't want to see the Big 3 into Public rotation raids. Can you guess what that is? Yes, ALL these guilds have their own rotation spot to accommodate their members and they don't need to be taking the place of others. Their presence shouldn't force Public into action. Why? I'll take your own reasoning and say without their extra help you cant do it.   It has always been members of these 3 guilds that have pioneered raids, found the weaknesses, the tactics applicable, the equipment needed to successfully complete them and passed all their knowledge and experience to the rest of the community. Take it upon yourselves now to educate and guide the next wave of public raiders to success. We'll always be there to help but no more hand holding please.   Lastly i see you continue mumbling about timers ticking, not very gentlemanly behavior and whatnot. Have you even read the first paragraph on my previous post? Please read it and give me an answer. You don't want us to raid during the weekend so you could have a monday spawn despite the concession we all made for the day/time switch?   You all Have Fun out there. Efialtis
  5.   I would like to address a few things in your post.   "This + the fact that the Publics following target is killed at the very last moment, therefor taking a spawn away from us."   How often do you see this? I'm asking cause i'm in a position to know better as VGE holds the spot in front of public in the rotation system. Has this happened?  Yes of course it has. Is it the rule?  No more than BI (rotation slot ahead of VGE) starting a raid a few minutes before rotation changes and finishing well over into next rotation slot. You don't see us complain for what is well within their right to do. Furthermore, do you know why the rotation day/time change was revisited and adjusted to Monday noon from Saturday noon? Because all parties involved in the rotation thought they can better organize at least ONE rotation raid during the weekends when a large number of their members are more likely to have time available to play the game (us being people with families/jobs and not just kids in school or college like in 2002). Does that not happen for you too regardless if we do our raids on Saturday or Sunday?     "There is no "Big 3" there is a big 2 BI and Epic. Static and VGE dont deserve thier own week for 2 or 3 people to get thier alts fitted out."   Speaking of Public raids. Do you care to admit that more often than not Public raids include members of BI? I have personally witnessed on several occasions Magoo himself PUSH for a Public rotation raid to happen regardless if there are not enough players from Public guilds  around to fill up the ranks. Have you heard by any chance the complaints from Public members that rotation raids were not announced AT ALL or they were turned away cause the ranks were filled WITH BI members? Cause yeah those instances do not spell Public rotation raid for me. As for the select few fitting their alts with gear you don't have to see very far for people who have multiple Flingers and Hellfire Balistas (both looted and player made), Black Casters, Black Spitters, Black Streaks, Warder drops, BoL's etc advertising on market. I have been playing non stop since we went live and i have exactly 2 Black Casters for my 3 Terrans, one Flinger player made, 2 Black Streaks for my 3 Jenquai, 2 Warder drops for my 2 Warriors, NO Progen gear (eg Black Spitter) since i don't play progens... you get the idea. Do you think i haven't gone to enough raids or killed Warder enough times to fill all my toons and maybe my mules twice over? Instead i have given away for FREE dozens of Intent engines, PBs, CVEs, BoLs, Warder drops (ok not dozens cause i hate camping him) and even my own 3rd caster or streak that i may had when i saw a guildie not having a single one, plus far too many items i can even remember right now. I have even given away outside of my guild and my friends if you are about to ask. Can you say the same?   Seems to me this is indeed about greed, just not from Static and VGE.     PS: As i was writing this seems that Gunney validates one of my points
  6.       Thats exactly whats happening here, you got the letter and the spirit of the rotation to heart with your two posts.  You are indeed a Holyman. ;)
  7. Well i wasn't around when everything went down so i wouldn't know what was said on server channels. Since its not on these forums maybe its on a guilds private forums that you have access to. All good.
  8. From what you said i got the idea that it was related to the incident discussed here. If it wasn't thats ok i would have already seen it.
  9. Any chance pointing me out the other thread thanking the organizer(s) cause its not showing up on recent threads list.
  10. This is E&B folks, a game designed from the ground up and embraced as a PvE experience. If you feel like you are not challenged, game not being competitive and whatnot then you're in the wrong game.   Feel free to join WoW, CS, Battlefield etc until you are fulfilled and your urges satisfied. But don't in any way try to enforce your opinions to the rest of the player base, i'll admit you're entitled to them but so are we.   The rotation has been the product of long hours of negotiations, disagreements  and even clashing with one another and those of us who are around long enough know exactly how it was. I for one do not wish to return to those times, maybe i'm getting too old for this petty behavior.   PS. How anyone tackles their triggers within the rotation is first and foremost their own concern. If someone doesn't like how we do our rotation raids then by all means join our guild, rise through the ranks and present your alternative to our leadership for evaluation. Your other option is to stick with the guild that is most aligned with your way of thinking.
  11. There are already articles online to guide you through disabling most of the "info sharing" options that are enabled by default within the OS.
  12. yeah that infamous 'forced update' that will brick millions of PCs that could not be avoided
  13. I had a few items lost in transfer a few months back myself. Had made a ticket and BL couldn't really see them on his searches. Funny thing they were returned as unclaimed after 142 days.
  14. Server appears to be down for me.
  15. Thank you for the quick todays restart. It happened again in the middle of our genril McQuirken raid, will make a bug report in the tracker of what we think is causing it.
  16. DT sector crashed while we (VGE) were in the middle of Genril McQuirken raid. Uptime is upwards of 350h so maybe a server restart will be even better. Forums are extremelly unresponsive as well taking several minutes to navigate them. I have 2 Screenshots  i will try to upload later.
  17. Maybe you have already done the condolences mission, it has been around long before DT came into play. Go speak to Dewinter in somerled and see if she will give you the Lucky Charm mission. Also you can check if you have done the condolences mission on the Net-7 portal
  18. The gripe some had was that when the big 3 came together to discuss about the new DT raids there was no public representative and thus attracted some flames. Even so the inclusion of those raids in the off week i dare say has been met positively. Moving forward spread the word about the forming of a public council and have every one onboard with that so next meeting can be even more productive for all parties involved.
  19. I don't have an objection about what you're suggesting mynd and i dare say others wont as well. But they just need to get it done, haven't seen much if any activity towards that.   I personally feel there are things that need to be said next meeting about the rotation.
  20. On the matter at hand that really prompted this topic. Has there been any action for public electing a representative yet? Time passes by and when next meeting comes we really want to see one.
  21. Well try to exclude the net-7 folder and subfolders from your antivirus scanner. I assure you there is no virus in the files.
  22. Also we spotted one of the wave group triggers around 35k away from the Roost.  Is it supposed to spawn that far out?
  23. It is supposed to slot into the off week Terrel. So there is actually no off week from now on.
  24. I think we need to clear a few things. The advocate is the elected person of the whole server for close contact with the DEVS. The raid rotation was never a DEV matter, as they themselves have stated multiple times, and it will never be.   So i fail to see your point. Allura was an acting Static representative and was chosen to make this post urging the public to elect a widely acceptable person to speak for them because of the visibility granted by her Advocate position.   The rotation is a gentlemens agreemen,t as is already stated, thats being going on for 2 years now. As to why the public doesn't have a representative at this point and after all this time eludes me.   Furthermore it happened because the public was feeling left out and it was the big 3 that voted to give the spot, further proof that they don't work against the public.   Finally what Allura may have failed to explain in detail is that this rotation will last for about one moth giving you, the public, the chance to elect a representative, and by which time a new meeting will take place to voice what worked and what didn't work during that period and suggest any changes deemed necessary.   Have Fun Efialtis
