We've tried many times, but we always run out of seeders pretty quickly. We just don't have enough people downloading to sustain a torrent. Maybe when we hit later stages of development the community will be large enough to support one. Also, we might end up with some kind of online installer that will download all necessary files for you.

From what I've heard, it's considered not to be worth it to tempt the beast (EA). The decision not to distribute the client directly is a bit over my head, though. Also, I haven't read the original demo client license. I would say that we're much more likely to start providing an easier and simpler method of downloading the client once we get out of the stress test stage of development.
