  1. Wow, that's even worse than I had imagined. I haven't interacted with you (Laracraft et al) in game much but see you being pretty generous in chats on giving away mappable loots (like most everyone these days) so OP's description seemed pretty out of character and I assumed (s)he was "off". Love the promise of "You will be banned", surprised (s)he didn't resort to "You will RUE the day!" LOFL. Back to mom's basement for you, troll, and NO LASAGNA! 🤡
  2. That's pretty slick. Thanks for contributing. Right now other than the sometimes obtrusive tooltips I'm OK with the vanilla interface but should I need to it's nice to know this option is there.
  3. Wow. That was quite the train wreck. Update: Oh, just realized OP was in An-DRAMA-duh in Live, so that explains a lot, LOL. Back in Live one of the most entertaining things was reading the forum threads from Andromeda members, better than modern day reality TV I tell ya! (all in good fun to you Andromeda vet's, but you know I'm not lyin'!).
  4. Pretty old, I'd have to search gmail for invoices as to when I bought the stuff but it's an Intel Haswell 4770K with a GeForce GTX780 so that should give you an idea. Recently started running pretty hot so I think I probably need to remount the CPU cooler after cleaning and applying fresh goo.
  5. If this were Live - with the JS (which wasn't there then) - AND an economy that was a bit more functional - I would say the JS would be a better builder than the JE for reactors simply due to JS having the Negotiate skill. That lowers their costs and allows them, all other things being equal, to follow a path of building that is more cost competitive when compared to the JE. Couple with the ability to build their own comps (like the other two Traders) they would theoretically be able to craft reactors for less than a JE and have a better margin. That being said . . . market considerations aren't really a thing now so it really doesn't matter. Follow whatever path works out best for you depending upon the amount of time (and skill points) you wish to invest in your characters. JE's were the original reactor builders (excluding restricted to Progen items, of course) "back in the day" and did quite well. There's nothing that I know that is unique about a JS that's going to allow it to do anything "better" at building reactors than a JE, it's really just how you want to alloc skill points. Anyway, just my $0.02 worth.
  6. Hallelujah, this was the fix for me as well. Posting just for the benefit of anyone else. Been working fine for YEARS on a wired Win10 desktop but figured I'd add it onto a new Win11 laptop so I could run wireless when I want. Installs went well and Net7 launcher saw the Sunrise and reported it as up with a user count but kept getting the Server Failed to Respond error posted above. Looked and verified all the compat/admin settings but nothing worked until I found this post about the local IP address on the dropdown. Thank YOU! All is well now.
  7. Apologies for possible necro-revival but catching up on fora and saw this. When EnB folded the bulk of my guild went to EVE . . . I followed for a bit but just found the game deadly dull. EnB was my first MMO and still really the only one I've liked (admittedly haven't tried that many). I liked how it could be both a community game AND/OR a single player game. I like how I have the option of pursuing combat (are you killing monsters again? my wife would ask as she'd walk by) or mining when I just want to veg out and pursue a bit of zen. So, yeah, was there for the EnB->EVE influx but couldn't hang. There was also a subsequent mass migration of a bunch of folks over to Star Wars (I think Galaxies?). I'd never played turn-based games before and it also didn't tickle my fancy. Kind of put all things MMO aside and just did first person or other stuff that was solo until EnB emulator (re)appeared. Yay! tl;dr - I thought EVE sucked.
  8. Thank you for the update, glad to hear it is progressing. I also thank you for creating this thread here for those of us that have been curtailing FB and similar stuff. I'm quite happy with the it's done when it's done approach. I'll keep checking here to see how it's going and if you need testers or anything. Thanks for all the effort from you and the rest of the team.
  9. Can't login Getting message "Connection to the Global Server Failed"
  10. FWIW I rebooted my router last night and took the night off. This morning my JE Warsteiner on acct garblesoup2 that was borked last night is working fine so far. I'll work my way up to trying the supremely borked TT Jarod on acct garblesoup at some point but right now happy to have what I have working.
  11. OK, I'll try that again. I rebooted it 4 days ago to try and take that out of the picture but it's simple to do it again (I run Tomato 1.27 on a Netgear WNR3500, FWIW). Now having this problem on my garblesoup2 account as well, which really sucks as that account hosts my L145 JE. Here's a cut and paste of what I'm seeing (from the chat.log) when I login and all of these message about uninstalling equipment scroll by. The thing is I don't have ANY of these things, on ANY char on ANY account, so I'm mystified why the game/program would be "uninstalling" all of these things. This is my last session on garblesoup2 with char Warsteiner; couldn't select anything and tried to logoff but eventually gave up and used "/quit". 12. Yup, primary char was TT Jarod with primary alt being JE Warsteiner.
  13. Well that kind of shoots down my hope that it was "just" local corruption. I've found that my issue is solely with only one account - garblesoup. All my other accounts I can play any of the characters without issue but playing any char on garblesoup, which is kind of my main, quickly goes south. Kind of having fun at the moment growing a new TS on a different account but will definitely need to figure out how to resolve as my primary builder and the two combat chars I'd been developing (PW and JD) are both on the munged up account.
  14. I'd love to blame MS but what I described (and what you are describing) happened to me before applying any updates (I have them disabled). Attempting to do due diligence I figured maybe I *should* check for and apply updates so I did - working same as before (as in, broken). Pretty much just one of my accounts seems to be semi-borked at this point (garblesoup) and messed up any char playing in it after a short while. My other accounts/chars seem to be just fine though I'm avoiding attempting any dual-play out of an abundance of caution. Started up a Terran Scout and puttering about with him until I figure out the larger problem.
  15. Good news is /quit is working for me, which was quite handy this morning when my JD got stuck in combat in VT. Bad news is that my chars on account garblesoup are becoming increasingly unplayable. After /quit'ting and then logging back in I was able to skedaddle over to the station and dock but when I went to the vendor to sell loot my session hung. Again, /quite "cleanly" terminated the client but depressing it looks like I'm in need of something radical to resolve this. I know - and have browsed through - there's been a number of posts on installing the game + Net-7 add-on - what is the most current guide to doing an uninstall/reinstall on a Win 10 setup? I'm thinking I may need to do this as I can't see continuing to keep trying to play and merely hope it resolves itself. As always, TIA.
  16. Thanks, I forgot that had been added. I'll try that next time; IME doesn't always work but if it can avoid the TaskManager hammer it's a good thing.
  17. So an update to this which has me wondering if the issue is something other than the 2 accounts being on at the same time - I'm wondering if the one account is somehow munged up. I had noticed that when I logged on to the one account there were times when the usual "welcome" messages (welcoming you to OMP, for example) and accompanying status messages (reactor installed, etc.) had what appeared to be superfluous messages about uninstalling equipment that the character in question (or even the entire account) didn't even possess and/or was incapable of using do to either level or race restriction (reinforced by browsing the chat log). Further, there would be messages about Groupings being broken and other weird things. This evening I used a character (Jarod) in this account (garblesoup) to analyze and then build a device which I then wanted to move to cargo so I could logoff and transfer via the Net-7 portal for account transfer. Analyze and build worked fine but when I went to move the item from cargo to vault the message about having been moved to vault displayed in the chat log but the item remained in cargo. I tried a couple more times with same result - chat log confirming move but item staying in cargo. I went to log off and was again forced to alt-tab swap so I could bring up Task Manager and cancel the sesion (NB - I was only running ONE account throughout all this, no multi). Using the portal I could confirm the item (L7 Chimaera) was still in Jarod's cargo. I restarted the client and logged back in to Jarod, successfully moved the item from cargo to vault and was able to logoff normally and then xfer the item to another account/character (Warsteiner on account garblesoup2). I'm wondering if there's some kind of corruption in play here and if there's a course of action I can do that cleans it up. Uninstall/reinstall seems radical, hoping there's something a bit more surgical (if I'm even going down the right road here). Advice welcome, thanks.
  18. So been able to play 2, 3 even 4 chars (across 4 accounts) at same time with no issues (with exception of occasional lag and other "normal" stuff) for a long time. Today I was farming char from account1 in BBW when I fired up account2 to send a different char to F7 to pick up an item someone was giving away. Both chars went south at this point - the char in account2 just kept warping past the gate from Carp to Glenn until it hit the "edge" of space and the char in account1 in BBW became unresponsive. I couldn't end either session normally and had to alt-tab to fire up Task Manager to end both of them. Since then while I can run any ONE account at a time just fine should I fire up a second account I run into problems. Characters can't trade with each other (frequently can't even see each other) and every time, once I've started a second account, I have to use Task Manager to forcibly end the sessions. I've done clean reboots, checked Net-7 client at startup to delete updates, started Net-7 sessions to get clean login then clean logoff but every time once I am running 2 accounts simultaneously the net result is joyless. Not sure what to do or even how to debug. Running Win10 Pro 64-bit on an I7-4770K with 16GB and not having issues with any other programs. Again, up until today all of this has been running great. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  19. Initially I was in formation. Lazy and took shortcuts for this screenshot forgetting that restriction. Busktinkaps clarified that there's a difference between Group Stealth and Cloak above (not sure why that exists, really can't see much value in Group Stealth then, but at least it's been explained).
  20. PW, grouped with JE that has cast Group Stealth; note character is visible and has no accompanying cloak icon in upper right corner. Hmm, won't let me upload as it would exceed the 1.95 MB max. OK, deleted the pic in the previous post so I could post here.
  21. JE, grouped, with Stealth Group active. Note character is "invisible" and cloak icon is visible in upper right corner. Update: turns out posting both pics wouldn't work; deleted the pic here since that's the one that was working. If I can only post one figured I'd post the one NOT working. If there's a circumvention to this I can follow please share and I'll update. Thanks.
  22. I'm talking about casting group stealth and doing nothing else. My JE cloaks itself with the standard in-game effect of becoming "invisible" (with shimmering outline); this is reinforced with the icon with the opposing arrows appearing in the upper right status bar of buffs and stuff in effect. Switching to other characters in group they remain completely visible with no effect and no icon. I am attaching pictures of two chars in subsequent posts - one JE and one grouped non-JE - while Group Stealth is enabled showing what I'm describing. And, for the record, I'm not dumb enough to think that my other chars should stay cloaked after my JE breaks cloak by firing or otherwise engaging a device or effect that would do so and that's not what I was asking - I was asking whether Group Stealth works AT ALL as, solely based upon my limited experience, it does not appear to do so. And if it doesn't that's fine I'll just do a CF, I'm merely asking to know whether it's a known current limitation (in which case I don't want to bother Dev's with a needless ticket) or if it's an actual bug for which I should bother submitting a ticket.
  23. Apologies if this has been asked and answered, my searches of the forum didn't turn up much that was real relevant or current. Today I added Group Stealth to my JE to help shepherd a lower CL char around to do some looting while my JE did the killing (yeah, weird, but it is what it is). Didn't seem like the other char was getting cloaked. Is this borked? Doesn't upset me, just want to know so I can go ahead and do a CF on the skill and use points elsewhere. Thanks.
