  1. Solved by computer restart. Why would the server be unreachable just like this out of the blue in mid game and require a restart of my PC? Weird... I can't believe I have wasted one day of my life doing real productive things when I could have been playing!
  2. Update: even the EnBNotifier is red as of yesterday. By the messages in the forum I take it that everyone else is playing. What gives? Also tried connecting from both local IPs Net7Proxy version 1.78 Using IP: 192.168.1.104 (192.168.1.104) 16/04/10 11:18:58 Error while opening UDP port .16/04/10 11:18:58 Attempting to connect to IP address: 87.106.15.67 16/04/10 11:18:58 Sending login. 16/04/10 11:19:03 login failed - server not found. Net7Proxy version 1.78 Using IP: 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) 16/04/10 11:20:35 Attempting to connect to IP address: 87.106.15.67 16/04/10 11:20:35 Sending login. 16/04/10 11:20:40 login failed - server not found.
  3. Server appears offline since yesterday for me too.
  4. Unfortunately it's no mortgage... just higher education. Hopefully it will be worth it one day...
  5. I have $300,000 of debt. I donated $5. You can afford to waste time playing, but you can't give even $5 to help the developers who maintain this game for you?
  6. It's working The client was crashing (i.e. exit to desktop), but the net-7 update fixed it.
  7. /sigh so does that mean it's crashing for you too? I've been waiting for this for 5 and a half years. Just dying to take my ship out for a spin...
  8. still crashing after entering password. Is anyone else having the same issue? Could it be because it's my first login ever to the game?
  9. Crashes after login. P /82/10 23:06:48 Attenpting to connect to IP address: 87.106.15.6? 10. Progress! Now it stops not accepting the password. It does, however crash after typing name/pw and clicking the arrow. Console says it did get the Avatar list, so I assume password was accepted. P /82/10 23:06:48 Attenpting to connect to IP address: 87.106.15.6? 11. This is the trade off you get when choosing a free, non-profit game. I'm just thankful someone took the initiative to revive this after EA dumped it.
  12. Just thought of something: Are there any ports that need to be forwarded from the router? I forwarded 3500-3805 because I saw them showing up in the console. Are there any more?
  13. If you switch the server to the "custom" one, the checkboxes will not be grayed out and you can check local cert. It just doesn't seem to like the password for some reason. Hope it helps you though.
  14. OK, If you check the "local cert" it manages to connect to the server. However, then it will not accept my username/password. Unchecking the "local cert" goes back to the previous problem of not being able to connect to the servers.
  15. Same. "connecting to server" message...
