1.
Think its about time Detention Centre Onorom had 'time out' cells: - mini starbase - no exit possible (no hangar bay ) - no use of any chat channels - 1 NPC to talk to who returns the reason why you are there - character remains there until time limit expires - new characters made on same account also start there until time limit expires - GMs have instant tools to "send to detention"
Byakhee, I love this idea. It would actually give the detention center a reason to exist. Maybe you could have their ships drifting in space outside of the detention center.
2.
No to the filter if you ask me. The players community should be able to police itself in most instances, and if flagrant abuse occurs, the GM's can step in.
+1
3.
One more thing since you've been a great help. Are we supposed to use the same ID/password of the EA account at game start as our emulator one? I keep trying but after I hit accept the game shuts down.
If you're crashing to the desktop everytime you accept your password, I'm having the same problem every time I login. The only work around I've found that works for me so far is to delete net7proxy.exe from the /bin folder in the Net7 directory. Then when I get the launcher up on the screen, I reset the updates and let it update and I can play. The downside, for me, is that when I try to log in again later, I have to do the same process all over again or it will CTD after I type in my password. I'm running Windows 7 on both my desktop and my laptop. I'm having this problem on my desktop, but it works just fine on my laptop. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled everything a couple of times since the move to the new server. Actually, I never had this problem until we moved to the new server. I'm patient though...eventually I or someone else will figure it out.
4. That's how it worked for me when I maxed the explore on my JE...and now that I'm at 150 it's back to normal.
5. I'm experiencing this one too...I've been trying a lot of fixes we've used in the past and nothing seems to work. If I skip the update, the game will allow me to enter my password, but then crashes to the desktop everytime. I tried re-installing Net7 but the problem is still there.
6. And server go poof! Darn...just about to hit lvl 150 on my JE...
7. Im not IT but usually get stuck doing their work after-hours when they're all home in bed. I've been working around computers ever since we did our database and readiness reporting work with punchcards in the Marines (don't do the math...it even scares me to think about how long ago it was).
8. Me too, but I play ME2 when the EnB server is down too keep from going nuts. Just waiting for the server notifier to let me know it's back up.
9. Big LOL! Isn't that the scene where she's running from the security guards at the jewelry store she just heisted the necklace from?
10. Welcome back, Ramses. Finding the emulator for me was kind of like hooking up with an old flame from highschool days...kind of brought a tear to the eye over the memories, both good and not so good. As pointed out before this is the stress test phase so you can expect things to not quite work as you expect, but they are leaps and bounds over where they were in ST3 and getting better every day. See you around the galaxy!
11. No doubt about it...it's a chupacabra. Darn good eatin'! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra
12. Nice post after the article, Searing. I was even suprised that they put a link to the Emulator forum in the article. I'll be interested to see if this brings back any of the "old" players that didn't know the emulator project existed. I've lost contact with all my old guildies...maybe this will bring them back!
13. How about some animated LOLCATS...this one really made me laugh.
14. Me, I'd just go back to bed. I can always use a little extra sleep, but if it ever snows here in Tucson to where we never get any accumulations, so I don't get much extra sleep.
15. If you're still having problems finding them, give me or my JE Tjay a shout in game. I've been stockpiling them as I find them in hulks and mobs I kill and I can let you have some to tide you over.
16. I think I understand where you were coming from, Wootage. Even when you are a responsible parent, you can't be there to watch over your kids every second and kids will always try, at least once, to do something you tell them not to do, like turning the dialogue volume back up. If you can remove the sound file completely, you don't have to worry about the consequences. I applaud you for your parenting efforts!
17. I like stupid people...they're job security for me. Back on topic, I usually cheer for whomever takes my favorite team's division, assuming it wasn't my team (I'm still in shock over the fact the 'Hawks made the playoffs with a losing record). Besides that, I always cheer for anyone playing against the Steelers, so I guess I'll be a cheesehead for a day.
18. And mine...not too much different than most already posted: The Achiever motto: "No goal unfinished!" Description: Best, first and most are the favorite adjectives of the Achiever. They love comparison not only against others, but also with themselves. They enjoy setting goals, surpassing previous performances and hitting new milestones. They tend to have lots of high scores, badges, trophies and other concrete evidence of their successful endeavors--and they love it if someone notices these. However many enjoy the quiet satisfaction of knowing they simply did better than most. Secondary influences Achiever Killers like to be the best-of-the-best at everything the game has to offer including PvP. They often mock Killer tactics such as surprise and stealth as "ganking" because they prefer a more controlled arena where fighting skills can be compared in a straight forward manner. Achievers often look to 1v1 duels for proof of their superior play and are frustrated by "rock paper scissor" game mechanics because of this. Their prowess in PVP is generally supported by a large degree of understanding and possession of the best equipment and skills. Achiever Explorers are interested in the PvE aspect of a game more than anything else. The AE thrives as a solo adventurer, counting coup with each new destination and discovery, poking into every corner of a map and toying with each nuance of a game mechanic. AEs prefer not to be hampered by a group and usually find PvP to be more an annoyance than a feature. Achiever Socializers appreciate groups, clans or guilds for than just pure social fun. An AS relishes the camaraderie of cooperation within a top flight team, savoring the renown gained from successfully pitting themselves against the grand-challenges of a virtual world and attaining goals that cannot be reached as an individual.
19. And down again. I'm starting to think this server is on a yo-yo.
20. :)I'm wondering if this is the content push they've been talking about. Seems like the server is never down this long here lately. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
21. Nah...don't give up on the hate mail. We can't keep 'em honest, but at least we can let them know how we feel!
22. It only counts if you got the combat xp for it.
