1. We were talking about this last night in new player chat, trying to figure out what is the least played alot of people said "Jenquai Explorer", and a few others were saying "Progen Sentinel". So I decided to make a thread here for people to discuss the matter in more detail.
2. All I remember from live is the PW was the best at dispensing devastating damage and taking heavy damage without being disabled. I would see them everywhere blowing something up or helping out a player with SI they were very popular. Right now it seems that you actually need a shield rechargeable & jump-starting class to be in a group for a PW to succeed.
3. You can ask in the Market if another tradesman can rip a Turbo2 Wiring Harness to get the materials or you can find a miner class to mine you x5 Lead Ore which refines to x1 Lead, x5 Crude Nickel which refines to x1 Nickel, and x5 Sand which refines to x1 Silicon.
4. Lower corner chats will probably appeal to more people...most people want a clear ui so they can see the action happening on there screen an most screens like mine with high resolutions would love less clutter. For announcements in the game with this ui, somehow maybe a scrolling marquee could be used at the very top of the screen, that scrolls the announcement to the entire server it would cause people to look up.
5. Not really everyone uses Paypal it's more common in the US...in alot of countries they require you to be 18 or older to use Paypal some people use PaySafeCard or AlertPay.
6. I do not know if I have posted this here yet or not... This is a community I have made on xfire for people that play EnB. Also made this for xfire_games.ini it will not monitor game hours, since that has to be requested by the host of the emu an requires them to download a special version of xfire about the only thing it does is lets you launch the game via xfire I'm still going to keep messing with it to one day hopefully get it to detect enb. You will have to manually insert this to your xfire_games.ini located in the xfire folder, then manually detect the game(s).
[9999] Edited=Edited by virpyre79 LongName=Earth and Beyond ShortName=EnB LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Westwood\Earth & Beyond\InstallPath LauncherExe=LaunchNet7.exe DetectExe=client.exe Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS% InGameRenderer=D3D9 InGameFlags=USE_PRESENT|ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT_MOUSE CustomStatusString=Earth & Beyond via Net 7 Emu

[10000] Edited=Edited by virpyre79 LongName=Net7 Launch ShortName=N7L LauncherDirDefault=C:\NET7\bin LauncherExe=LaunchNet7.exe DetectExe=net7proxy.exe Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% InGameRenderer=D3D9 InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|USE_DINPUT1|DISPATCH_CONURE_MESSAGES CustomStatusString=Earth & Beyond via Net 7 Emu
Once Xfire detects them both, when you launch the Enb to Net7 it should say you are playing "Earth & Beyond via Net 7 Emu". Note: You might have to replace these if xfire updates it's game support list.
7. You might want to consider trying this site: GM Support Ticket System for help instead of posting on the forum. But regardless, when you create a character with the Character Starship Creator it will save a copy onto that computer, when you open then game the character will be imported into the game server. Since you have already created a character he should still be on the server database with your account.

10. I noticed the the mission in the game are not like those of the ones in live from what I remember the missions they looked like this: When you load up after typing in your character name you'll be on a base called Arx Forgus once there go past the doors to find Sub-Commander Trask speak to her to start your first mission. Hold Your Foe She will ask you to report to Mercury Training Ground to kill a Scatter Drone, she also gives you an skill called "Gravity Link". Now head outside an find the location on your map, once at the location target an kill a Mercury Drone (Hostile) you'll have to use your Gravity Link to slow it down you'll also notice that the Scatter Drone (Non-Hostile) is right above the Mercury Drone hovering. Once you have to killed the Mercury Drone the Scatter Drone to try to escape, you'll the have an update on your mission that tells you to use your Gravity Link on the evading Scatter Drone once you stop it dead in it's track kill it then report back to Sub-Commander Trask to complete the mission. 11. We should do it for Easter Event, leave it running for a week since most people will no doubt be very busy on Easter, could start the even on the 22nd or the 23rd of April. I remember in LIVE always seeing a Friendly CL 43 Bunyip Pollywig at "Glenn Commission Science Exhibit" close to Friendship 7 which always housed an array of creatures that were all friendly, that you could feed, you didn't get anything for the feeding. I never got high enough in the actual game I do know that some dared to kill the bunyip in a raid parties but it required the leader to feed him a Conorium which is a Tech Level 7 Refined Ore no idea were it's gotten, thus the CL 43 Bunyip Pollywig would turn into a CL 66 Bunyip Vestige attacking anyone in the area it would reset after about 2-3 hours then players could try again if they failed, there was always that sign warning in place "PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE BUNYIP" some listened others, not so much. Those that did manage to kill the vestige got decent loot: Bunyip Globular Projection (Lv 8 Engine - Progen Only) Bunyip Guarding Cranium (Lv 8 Shield - All) Bunyip Marrow Flurry (Lv 8 Reactor - Terran Only) Bunyip Pulsing Tusk (Lv 8 Device - Jenquai Only) Bunyip Projection Tail (Lv 7 Trash Loot) Bunyip Projection Eyeball (Lv 7 Trash Loot) Bunyip Pollywig Finding the Eggs were random in the game, since various eggs dropped from smaller versions of the bunyip I only saw them around F7 or during the Easter Event, other players got them from Hulks or other mobs. 12. Got the same stuff as well the actual book for the EnB Prima Guide.
13. On Live I only got a TT to Lv. 75 before the server went poof what I liked about them the most was the Shield Repair and Hull Patch the most, since they remind me of Healers or Medics which in most games I like to save peoples butts from trouble. Only other characters on live I had was a Lv. 30 PW and Lv. 15 JD, on here I've gotten a TT to 50 that's about it.
14. Trying to get a view of what race-class people see the most in this game, I tried to use terms used in most of the games now a-days, you can't have multiple choices, you can post why you chose your race-class to better help other players. Terrans Trader - Support Medic w/ DPS or Full Craftsman w/ Merchant Abilities Enforcer - Off-Tank DPS w/ Merchant Abilities Scout - DPS w/ Exploration & Mining Progen Warrior - Full Tank Privateer - Off-Tank DPS or Full Craftsman w/ Merchant Abilities Explorer - Off-Tank DPS Explorer w/ Mining Jenquai Defender - Stealth DPS w/ Exploration Seeker - Merchant w/ Stealth DPS or Full Craftsman w/ Merchant Abilities Explorer - Adventurer w/ Exploration & Mining
15. Could add more payment options...these are the most common used for gaming. PayPal - Which you already have, don't much care for them, an will never use them since a friend got his account hacked though them loosing money. AlertPay - Almost like paypal but much better Coverage and payment solutions, alertpay is also supported in those countries where paypal is not. MoneyBookers - Moneybookers charges $2.45 USD per withdrawal plus a 1.99% to their wholesale exchange rates while Paypal charges $5.00 USD plus an exchange rate of a 2.5% plus a 3.4% + $0.30 USD each time you get paid, also it's useful for people with foreign banks. PlaySpan - More an more people seem to be using this method, since people use it for for online games, mobile apps, social networks, and online videos...though if you added this feature you would likely have to have pay for extra's in the game.
16. If I remember correctly when ST4 first started the XP Booster's were still on so the first 30-50 level were pretty fast, after that everything was reverted back to normal xp gain giving that game more stability.
17. I don't know what the actual formula on the emu is we'd have to have a developer post that information on here, but it should be the way it is above.
18. All XP should be like so, whether it's combat or exploration...not sure about trade however but it could be the same. 2 players: 140% 3 players: 180% 4 players: 220% 5 players: 260% 6 players: 300% (player total level / group total level) * xp gained * group xp bonus (20/80) * 840 * 2.6 = 546 experience
19. Some progen beams are pretty useful, I mean you'll run out of ammo on a PW eventually...sure you can use missiles if you want but that's more space in your inventory that you won't be able to loot anything with since they have low cargo space. It's your preference though...I have some examples of beams you could use. Dagger Max (Energy) Damage: 100% - 87.00 & 200% - 130.50 DPS: 100% - 8.70 & 200% - 13.05 Reload: 10 Seconds Energy: 99 Range: 1.20 Improved Combat Trance (Equip): +2.0 Skill Level(s) Improved Self Destruct (Equip): +60.0 to 1,800.0 depending on ability Scimitar Prime (Energy) Damage: 100% - 87.00 & 200% - 130.50 DPS: 100% - 8.70 & 200% - 13.05 Reload: 10 Seconds Energy: 99 Range: 1.20 Improved Combat Trance (Equip): +2.0 Skill Level(s) Improved Self Destruct (Equip): +60.0 to 1,800.0 depending on ability Nightstick V (EMP) Damage: 100% - 57.00 & 200% - 78.00 DPS: 100% - 8.67 & 200% - 13.00 Reload: 6 Seconds Energy: 59 Range: 1.20 Improved Shield Inversion (Equip): +4.0 second(s) Shunt to Reactor (Equip): +3.5 Reactor Recharge and -35.0% Shield Recharge when equipped. 20. Every time I try to launch N7 it pops up saying this: LaunchNet7 - Exception, Version: 1.3.1.0, Time: Thu, 04 Dec 2008 01:58:36 GMT System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The system cannot find the file specified at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start(ProcessStartInfo startInfo) at LaunchNet7.Launcher.LaunchNet7Proxy() in C:\Net7\Net7 Source\trunk\LaunchNet7\LaunchNet7\Launcher.cs:line 124 After that it crashes, I loaded it up fine yesterday just to see if it was online. 21. I can't wait...hopefully no x2 or x3 on anything I hope it's just x1 on everything allowing people to level at the same rate.
22. When the xp was x3 you could get TL25 in starter zone on a TT before the trade stack fix, I believe my OL on my TT was 46 before I even left the area I mean he was getting about 77,000 Trade XP there off one level 1 item in a stack of 60. Of course right now, you can get heaps of trade xp just by trading with a low level character as well, some people have told me about it though I myself have never tried it. To me it seems more of an exploit then anything. What they do though is get Tengu loot since it's easy level 9 gear/loot, then trade it with a Lv. 30 or lower giving them about 3 levels in trade sometimes more ammo seems to work the best.
23. I'm just waiting for the next wipe too stress test 4 or whatever before I begin playing again...also been playing alot of eve online with the new expansion. I think the devs/gm's have there own sector, they could've just spawned the cl66's in there for testing instead of the entire server.
24. Goto this link all info you need is posted there.
25. I never did much care for them randomly removing you from warp in live just to scan you.
