What OS are you using? You have to run certain programs with Admin privileges if you are using Vista/7. IIRC the programs are, c:\Net7\Net7Proxy.exe, "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES \ Earth and Beyond\release\client.exe" and c:\Net7\Net7Launcher.exe. If I missed something, let me know.

If you aren't able to download it, whatever is on your system will probably not allow it to install either. *works desktop support and has seen this before* You can try going into safe mode and see if you can get it downloaded and installed there, but if that fails, I highly recommend reinstalling Windows.

Just an FYI on Macs and VMs with EnB. VMWare Fusion has no problems playing EnB on a XP VM. I've yet to try wine on the Mac, or Parallels for this as I'm waiting for my new work computer to arrive (yes, I do install games on my work computer to test stuff).
