  1. I agree with this point of view. I've been playing the EMU since st 1 and have seen a tremendous improvement and applaud the Devs for all their hard work. I've also seen the playbase dwindle each time there is a player wipe. It's true many players are dual-boxing to quicken the leveling process of alts. I have never dual-boxed or run tours so it's taken me a bit longer to level my toons. The constant fear of a wipe has caused me to focus on just two toons this time around and have just recently started a third. This means I still have two available slots remaining to test new content while keeping my mains to assist in gearing them up. For those that are already bored because they've maxed their toons, feel free to delete your toons and start over.
  2. I went right to forums and created a new bookmark then deleted the original
  3. I noticed while doing the repeatable scan job in VT, that when I warped to the target nav I sometimes overshot the spot and needed to back up before the scan icon would light up. Not sure if this is what you meant.
  4. Both my TE and TT used type B's starting at lvl 4 and upgraded them thru to lvl 6 adding an onyx to the mix at lvl 5. I used exlosive and chemm ammo in them with plasma in the Ozyx of course. Both have moved on to using type A's now. Still using a mix of explosive and chem ammo with EMP sometimes on my TE.
  5. At last the voice of reason afloat is a sea of flame and hostility. Thank you for that. Many peeps are afraid to make any negative comments for fear of being told "Thats the way it's gonna stay" or "Belly up to the bar and order up a big mug of STFU". These kind of responces do happen and drive people away. The recent change of turning mobs into super-mobs is a negative thing. I too remember soloing DeSash in live with my lvl 150 JD. I'm not saying Bosses should be easy but regular mobs should not be invincable either. While most of these comments are about the FB, the increase in difficulty has trickled down to lower and mid-level mobs as well. As an example, my Clvl 36 TE had just qualified for lvl 7 ML's and I was trying to loot them myself. Well they drop from a lvl 43 Nag in the niff. This was never an easy thing to do since you have to kite him while avoiding all the other nags in the area. Much to my dismay, I learned he could kill me before I was in range to get off a single shot. I'm not asking for arcade type easy but let's be reasonable here before everyone leaves the game. You can't sress the server with fewer players afterall.
  6. On my old printed missions list, (retained from live) the Cygni Express mission listed the OL requirements as lvl 30 not 50. It was a long mission involving Capt Roland Holmes. My JD got The Source of Inspiration reactor before he could use it and the same holds true for the Progens reward. I think they get thiers before they can use it also. The Terans get the Emptors Advantage device. Not very equal treatment now is it? My TT is using the engine without completing the mission until it is no longer worthwhile keeping.
  7. I did not vote but had to add my 2 cents worth. I for one am tired of someone bringing up a player wipe every time the EMU hits a snag. It is counter-productive. The current problems won't be fixed by a wipe. Pushing people backwards is discouraging and will drive some players away. It should be obvious that we need more players to test everything on both the Dev server and play server not less.
  8. Was having a new reactor built and my builder was just about to trade the new one to me when, BOOM!!!, down goes the server. Delay was long enough for my builder to log to another game probably thinking it would be a long delay for restart I was able to meet up with my builder today and finish our exchange
  9. The same holds true for comps vendors. They wont take comps of the same level they are selling
  10. I too have logged on to the TS3 server and found very few players there. I hate typing so TS is a blessing imo. My bud feels TS3 causes problems with the EMU so we went back to the TS2 server. Sound there was a problem until we changed the speedex to 16.3. It cleared up right away. We usually create a room so as not to clog up the main channel. Recently I've been surprised to find some Devs logged on to the TS2 server. When I logged in one of them asked another who the hell I was. I quickly created my room and moved so as not to interfere with whatever they were doing and avoid being kicked. Before I left SWG and returned to this EMU they had integrated voice chat with private, guild, race and general channels. It would be great if that could happen here but we can live with TS.
  11. Just out of curiousity, how are you tracking hours played by an individual to reach level 150? Are you using a player running solo all the time and doing every available mission as a baseline? Or an average of those and players who always powerlevel by group touring or combat? That type of play could no doubt skew the results.
  12. While on the subject of weapons mounts placement, I was surprised to find the 1st mount on a TT was still under the nose as in live. As I posted on the old website, I think mounts should all be under the wings or at wing tips for those ships that get an even number of weapons. The ships that get an odd number of weapons should place the last mount under the nose. Again this only applies to ships that have wings. On a side note, do teran launchers have to be huge? A reduction in size would be far more visually appealing.
  13. Group touring to gain XP is nothing new. It was in live and was done by many because Explore XP is tough to get by the non-explorer classes. Sometimes it was just done to help guildies with new toons, and yes by multiboxers to lvl up alts. Not a big problem.
  14. As long as there are different weapons types with varied ranges, there will always be accidents and inadvertant attacks on a mob that is already being engaged by someone. But as soon as you target a mob you can clearly see if it has already taken damage and to just swoop in and outgun someone just because you can is clearly wrong. In live certain guilds were well known for this behavior. Or it's a warrior class with big guns, that it may have built for themselves, but don't forget the devices and engines built for you by a member of the wrong class or the miner that supplies the comp builder to provide the 200% comps that help get the 200% anything that all insist on. Just my 2 cents worth.
