  1. Hmmm, somebody's around. Says server is starting now. Just wanted to know if we should go watch a movie or absorb some RL rather than clicking and wishing. :)
  2. Ok folks, it's been just over an hour and not even a word from a lesser blue. Can we get word whether the server is being worked on? Maybe a heads up that it won't be up for awhile so we can go find something else to do besides hovering the forums for crickets?

  4. Not sure what's gone wrong but ever since the last patch, I'm hanging at the load screen constantly. Wasn't having this problem before patch. Nothing has changed on my setup or game config. Even more frustrating when I come back in and I'm being slapped in the middle of higher level than me mobs all to get ganked into XP debt and hull repair costs. You'd think with all the hangups/crashes, safe spots would be better designated.

  6. Wow. Over 27 hours uptime. That was a great run. Every hour I played tonight, I kept expecting the worst. And it kept on going, and going, and going and... oops. Think the Devs are getting close to squashing these bugs. Hoping we are getting past the post-Live crash scene. My faith is returning!

[/quote] I'm assuming this was a reply to me Kyp. I totally have full respect for all you and the other devs are doing here. Again, I love this game. I've been here for the past couple years following your progress, and loving all you've accomplished. My only complaint is that you folks took this to live status and it is less stable now than it was weeks before in beta. Now you are asking us as long time beta users to invite folks in calling this a live status, and it is crashing 2, sometimes 3 times a night. Those of us bringing folks in are kinda feeling like fools for talking the game up so much, all for the invites to keep getting booted during prime play time and they can't progress. They are frustrated, and rightfully so. This technically should still be beta so it doesn't lead folks to believe it is any more stable than that.

I'm still here, I love the game. But keeping the newcomers around is becoming a real challenge. Just saying. This should have still been called beta. This is NOT live material. We've been encouraged to bring more folks in, but as soon as I get mine here, they are gone again complaining with not being able to play when they get in. Just sayin'.

I just invited back a bunch of old timers to experience the game "live" and now I'm embarrassed and finding myself defending the game with all the outages. Especially on the weekend. I experienced far less downtime in beta and was so proud to share my experiences with the Emu pre-live. Starting to think I was premature in doing the invites, and sorrily getting tired of trying to spend what free time I have to play, attempting to get anything done in the time I have to play.

  17. Was in the middle of exploring a nasty zone, found my gate and kept right on warping past. Haven't been able to get back in again since. Not seen anyone else complain about it and was wondering if it was me? Rebooted, can surf the web but "unknown" on net7 portal and says server is offline when trying to log back in.
  18. Sorry to reopen an old thread, but I'm seeing by this post that the paint shop existed in emu at one time. I got curious and decided to fly out to find the terminals for this feature and could not find them at any of the stations I remembered from live. Am I missing something or have these terminals since been removed from the emu?

I have the latest CrossOver and have tried installing both in a WinXP and Vista bottle, never to be able to get past the Net7 exe crashing out, or simply running and disappearing from my dock. I've even gone so far as to install all the runtime modules (i.e. .Net to v3.5) to no avail. Is there some secret to getting the Crossover install to work properly? Not a big deal since I can play the game fine on my Win7 Bootcamp install, but would be nice to have this running where I don't have to reboot into Windows just to run E&B.
