On the old server you guys did a great job emulating the original version. I can definitely live with a buggy new version for a while till you get it sorted. All the devs are amazing that they can keep this awesome 20 year old game going. I wish I had the skills to help. but sadly my coding days are past.

I am thankful that the team is still trying to restore the game and hope they can get it running again. It does say a lot about their commitment that they are even trying all these years after Sunset. I know it is frustrating that it has been down so long but it is free to play so they they are doing it as a hobby for their love of the game not because it is their job. I would like to express my gratitude to those taking the time out of their lives when they can to keep it going. Again, thank you.

Server down

With Kyp's DNS updates late yesterday all is well, no more dreaded offline for me. Modifying the host file will work in the short run but there are several severs involved and if the IP addresses of any change you'll have problems again till they are updated.

Flusdns didn't help me either. Server still shows offline here too.

I have same problem. Tried to login about 3 hours ago. Server has shown Offline all day. Tried rebooting router, flushdns on PC. No joy does seem like could be dns issue. Am on Verizon Fios in case it helps. Tried from 2 PC's and enb notifier red all day. Also can't post on forum with Firefox or IE. don't know if its related but I posted this from an iPad with safari.

Same thing happens to me about 1 in 100 times too. When changing zones I get stuck on the galaxy map and have to kill the client and restart. Usually it is while gateing. A few times its been at the station but usually that seems to be when the server goes offline or just before it is offline.

Here we run into the prolem that even in Live no one actually knew the formula that the server used to compute quality, other than dev. Generally we don't know this type of information with certainty in games. Builders had theories formulated after much trial and error. And most 200% builders kept their methods secret to keep the credits flowing. All games have sinks. Not knowing creates a time and credit sink for builders that otherwise wouldn't be there.

Guess I'm in the minority but I like it better now. It should be really difficult to get 200% items. This makes them more prized and will be better long term for the economy. Other reasons to build? Some people really love getting that next print that they are missing. Or seeing 200% on the terminal when its rare. And PM items even if not 200% are better than 100% or not available and cheaper. You either like building or not. And to be sustainable the devs can't just cater to the old ENB players who want everything to be easy. In the long run they will need to attract new players or the game will die. And actually up to a certain difficulty the more challenging things are the longer people play MMORPG's. imo Of course opinions differ.

Got to the stage where Daiki-ya tells you to search Zweihander. Found SAM but he won't talk to me. Checked mission log. Mission missing. This is on 2 toons that should be on this stage Vain and Lysis. Did I miss something? Do I need to talk to someone else after Daiki-ya to get the mission back in my log or is it a bug that made it disappear?

Fixed. L5 Rogue Bandits are now spawning near Tarders Fort since last reboot, don't have to go to the camp. Kill 5 of them to clear this stage. Thanks Zackman

Have "Kill 5 Rogue Bandits for McHollis" in mission log L38 JE. I've killed lots of different Rogues at Herlinson Camp (L8-L15 Boss). And even killed a few Rogue Progens in Lagarto. I've also killed more than 5 without zoning or logging out. Every time I speak to McHollis he just asks if I want to trade. I never get the counter saying I killed 1/5 etc.. I've done it myself and paired with another JE toon on same mission. Neither toon can clear it. Am I missing something like its now a specific different mob somewhere else or is the mission bugged? Ideas?

Hi Zackman I created a new too 'Bannor' to test. This afternoon I transfered him one device. A Lethargic Unus from Talan if I remember right. There were no errors and I could see the item in his vault on Net-7. When I got home and launched him into the game the item was gone and it was gone from Net-7 Account vault. The problem might be related to my companies firefall. I can create toons but when I'm done creating and launch into the game The EnB client crashes so the toon may not be setup correctly at that time. The client thought the toon was still logged in for 60 seconds or so. After the client was sure Bannor was not logged in I was able to make the transfer. I couldn't check till I got home. So if this is what's going on it would likely be a rare occurence.

I was also playing around with the account vault. Seems to work great with Level 1+ toons. I moved stuff to two toons that were created but had never been started up in game so were still showing as level zero on Net-7. I believe these items were lost. Nothing important lost. Just testing and thought people should know about this bug.

Works for me now. I uninstalled the net7 launcher. Reinstalled. Did the updates again and got in.

Having problems getting in to. Hope they figure it out soon. I just discovered E&B was back. Had good times back in 2002.
