I read a response someone else had posted somewhere on one of these threads (vague enough lol) that their solution was to wait until ~10sec after Megan finishes her speech to login and ~30 sec after character selection before loading.  This seemed to work for me, I just wait until after Megan is done throwing up at me and I can log in fine now.

Same here.

I also tried the flush dns and checking installing my certificates.  The same as you, when I attempt to load a second character it freezes on the galaxy map.  So Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one out there hahaha.

Hey I'm getting the same issue.  After the 130 patch yesterday or the day before both my friends laptop running vista and my desktop running 7 crash after the character loads.  The galaxy map displays before CTD.  The Win7 machine has never had a problem until this update.  The lappy has and  has been troubleshot to work.   I have tried deleting the global as well as all other .th6 files, multiple times.  I tried resetting the launcher, the clients and the application are set to run as administrator in compatibility XP mode, ip v6 is disabled, ran in debug mode.  Any other suggestions?  I see people are still able to log, but all the machines I have available are stuck after this last update.
