Okay I was having problems until I ticked the Prototype Reorder, which wasn't ticked by default and I noticed it mentioned in the checksum offload thread. I'll keep an eye on the issue and let you know if it is just a temporary sweet spot. Thanks for your help!

I reinstalled this yesterday after taking a break for a year or two and have found that I have trouble playing it, because I am experiencing exponential lag. It starts off fine when I first log on but it slowly becomes more and more unresponsive until it's taking over two minutes to update chat or target things. I've tried disabling the packet optimisation but that hasn't helped at all. I am doubtful it's a speed issue on my end because everything else runs fine and it's not a consistent level of high latency, it increases as I play. Is there anything I can try to do to fix this on my end?

Just out of curiosity, is that because you don't know how to, or modifying the client is very difficult? Or are there legal reasons preventing you from doing so?

If it really matters to you at this stage, you've got a signature to stick that stuff into. Because we're the people that are really going to care about it.

I installed the game and the Net7 Launcher following instructions (I think anyway, possible I made a mistake but if so not sure where). After figuring out it was trying to connect using my Hamachi IP I changed that and it connects to the server and starts the client. But the client sits on the start up window for a bit and then says it can't find the patch file which is apparently Error: 4. I pointed the Net7 Launcher to the executable for Earth and Beyond as it seemed to want it, so have I done something wrong here? And if so what.
