  1. Happy you enjoyed it. I think the points are: 1. It was not a "Bug" 2. It was not announced (nothing is) 3. It was plopped in all the new player areas. 4. Kids (yep they do try to play) were getting killed trying to do their missions 5. Whining? no one is whining.. and the Dev free time crap is getting real real real old
  2. I don't have that ability. So what you are saying there are players that can spawn lvl 66 mobs? Great... so let's find this Non-Dev and at the least take away his/her Non-Dev abilities.
  3. Well said, I for one am sick of the Dev worship that is going on. They are human NOT gods. They are working on something that we all enjoy playing, but I refuse to open a vein for them. I have thanked them, donated, and may so again. But I will NOT blindly defend them when what they have done is wrong…no matter how you cut it. It takes no time to post what is going on. I am going to put lvl 66 mobs in all the starting areas. If you don’t want to get your character wiped out please don’t log in from this day to that. Easy and would go a long way. Oh and how they use the donations is their business. If they choose to keep it to pay for fees 3 years in the future instead of paying themselves well who am I to tell them differently. I can tell you that under the current state I will NOT donate.
  4. And to show the players are what make this game interesting and a fun place to be. Magoo just said in chat that he/she would rebuild lower player’s equipment who were brutalized last night. Very well played Magoo.
  5. Wow!! Explains loads for me. Before the crash of the last server my user number was 69. Great bunch of devs in the early days. Was not afraid to say anything or send some suggestion or tool that may help with the development. By the way what happened to Razorwing? And I used to get e-mail updates as to the progress.

  7. Telling people to leave is not helping anything or anyone. I can’t help but think how are you (Devs) going to test anything with only a handful of players. And to what end. A game that only a few find enjoyable? Seriously there is no reason to smash the living daylights out of the low level characters. These 66 mobs could be put in the higher-level player areas and be still run the test. Not cool.

    I think it is on it's way here like it or not. The powers that be have stated in prior posts that the discussion was already held on IF we were going to have PvP in the EnB emulator, and I guess the vote? was for it. I didn't get to vote but then who the heck am I? And if there HAS to be PvP I would like it to be as painless as possible for those that don't want it. If it is open PvP and new and old players can't leave a base for fear of getting jumped, well that is a massive fail imo. If one can't do one's mission or mine without fear of the introduction of other player's hunting them down, well that is yet another fail. If the Devs insist on putting it in, then I suggest that when that happens they split the development. PvPers go one way non PvPers go the other. The source for the server be updated (db included) at the time of the split and everyone walks away happy.

    Now THAT is an idea that is worth looking into. I want to be a Ten-Gu, or a V'rix. PvP in that situation would be great and very close to the PvP in Potbs. Instead of red zones, when you go to a Red dragon, Ten-gu, or v'rix held area you know it is going to be a challenge. One does not go there (usually) as a lvl 10. Nice idea, good thinking. And I would hope the devs think so as well.
  11. well those that are/were in are having issues so don't feel to bad you can't get in. PW weapons on auto fire only fire 2 out of 5, people say lag is bad. And tempers are flaring in open chat.

    I looked for the message that had the Dev saying he/she was promoting Kenu to a head Dev, and he/she was going to spend his/her time developing the PvP aspect of the game. It seems that this post has gone the way of players doing their HU . I brought this up as an FYI, I even stated not to turn it into a flame war. I have played PvP, and it is fun (mostly when you don't loose ALL of the time). POTBS has red zones, Ryzom has the best areas for mats as PvP (spoiled that for me) yes I could choose not to PvP but to get the better mats you had to make yourself a target, not only did I have to avoid massive mobs, but kids looking for a kill. EnB could be PvP but it would NOT I repeat NOT be the EnB we are all missing. It may be better but if that is the case I suggest the Devs stop trying to make it like it was, speed up the fixes to whatever they want and get on with it. But there is sooooooo many many more issues imo that PvP should not even be considered until the basics have been worked out.

    Did I read on one of the forums that PvP was being actively worked on for EnB? Not to start a flame war but..... seems there are sooo many other issues that need to be addressed before PvP is even looked at. And is this something that needs to be added to EnB at all? I can understand the arena area as in live. But again this should take a back burner to say... server crashes, lag issues, lost players, mission bugs, no missions, higher player content, mobs or lack of mobs, loot tables, devices functioning as intended, weapons functioning, graphics being limited due to overhead issues ie. 1 shot shown for a 6 shot weapon, jobs, job terminals, and a ton-o-other issues. Not to mention there will have to be a total restructuring of the combat as there are some races that would make PvP very one sided. As it is now it would be who has the most uber shields/reactors/weapons is the winner.
  15. I have a suggestion (as usual) I think that a web based bug reporting system for the players at large could possibly speed up fixes, and as a bonus let us help. Reporting things to the “Beta” players’ sort of, kind of works, but in all honesty it lacks in players reporting what could be serious issues. It is much easier to just assume that is has been reported. Add a section to the mysql db, player bugs or similar. Allow a simple keyword search on those reported bugs by both players and devs. This would allow one to see if it has been reported previously. ------ A drop down list displaying area of problem A Dev only area to mark level of bug severity 1 – 4 would require Dev review 1 – Critical show stopper 2 – Bad needs fairly immediate attention 3 – Cosmetic – Typo or similar 4- Wish – no need to fix but could be after the above have been addressed Comment area for the bug itself. Possibly add directions on this page for listing steps to recreate the issue/bug. What do you think?
  16. I had wanted to get these done in time for Christmas, but lacking the technical know how I failed. What I wanted to do was provide a PDF of each of the ships of EnB using an application like Pepakura Designer so you could make card stock models of your favorite ship(s). If anyone can reduce the poly count and pick up the ball I would greatly appreciate it. Merry Christmas! 3DS OBJ
