  1. I guess I just can't give this game up! So, I'm back after a long break. I'm working on leveling my JE 10/29/18 OL 57.   I'm thinking trade grind for now. Exploration will be what I do when I'm in the mood to relax and combat was always a pain with the JE so that will probably be my last priority.   For the trade "grind", Is Fenris-Somerled still the way to go? Are jobs more efficient? If so where?   I do have 2 other characters that I could multi-box into the group but for now I think I prefer to run the single.   I've forgotten most of the nuances of leveling. If anyone wouldn't mind pointing me to the right resources I would appreciate it. Also any of the new tricks and tips would be nice. Thanks and it's great to be back!
  2. As a casual player who is extremely poor and in need of decent gear I will gladly take any "unneeded" and "unwanted" credits that anyone has to spare. "THE RENTS TOO D*** HIGH!!!"
  3. I'm on Windows 7 64bit and haven't had a single issue with the launcher/game. Once in a blue moon I'll have a CTD but nothing too bad. I would highly suggest checking out the following threads (Stickied at the top of this forum) to fix your, "HELP people for ALLAH's sake   I just got back here and already this feels like the dick slappers in swtor  wow and every other game....".   First off, this thread details installation procedures and special instructions in regard to Windows 7/8 installations. https://forum.enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/8167-windows-8/ Be advised, you will have to pay attention to your own operating system. In other words some things are slightly different in Win7 and Win8 but essentially you should find these instructions helpful.   Second, some specific information about what exactly your problem is would be helpful. If you can successfully get the l;auncher to execute but it will not update then it could be your firewall, you may not be launching it as administrator, it is also possible you are not running the shortcut in winxp sp2 compatibility mode. Please, take a deep breath and clearly describe the issue you are having. Error messages or screenshots would also be helpful.   In regards to this piece of genious, "What kind of ass rape answers are these it works fine for me.... I will use that on the very next person who brings their car to me and complains it isnt working as it should HOLY GET it together this is suppose to be a tight knit bunch but reading these forums and asking questions in the game I see nothing but childish WOW players..." I would like to point out that is exactly what I expect some 14 y/o WoW player to screech across a tech support forum. The reason you didn't get much more of a response is because most of us aren't going to bother helping somebody out when they show up as a new member and immediately act like a douche. Now that we've moved past that phase lets get down to helping you out and getting you in game shall we?   I would like to add that even though your 70 Super Sport Nova is something to brag about, my 44 Willys would be available to drag it out of a ditch any time you need it.   /salute
  4. 1. Make sure Aero is turned off (that got me at one point) 2. make sure "client.exe" is running in admin/compatibility mode 3. Check out this thread https://enb-emulator.com/index.php?/topic/3092-net7-fails-to-connect/ Ipost #6, the problem itself is not the same but following those steps it helped resolve my issues. Might be useful. I hope that is helpful.
  5. I had a similar problem 2 patches ago. Also Win7 64bit overpowered pc... Here's what worked for me. First off, I have to "reset updates" every time I launch the client. If I don't do that when I type in my UN/PW the chick starts walking off the screen and the client crashes. I also had to download and replace my client.exe file when experiencing a similar connection issue to yours. You may want to try that. I know the file is floating around here somewhere in the downloads section. I think I found it under support actually... I'll go look for it and edit/reply here with the link.
  6. Here's a link I grabbed out of the "Useful Sites for EnB" post above/stickied. http://isometricland.com/enb/enb_javascript_map.php Is it accurate.. I have no idea, but it seems useful. Check out a lot of those links though, it's been so long for a lot of us that it's worth doing a bit of research. Hope that's been helpful and I hope you enjoy your time playing here, I know I am!
  7. So, I think we can rule out video-card issues. I was able to play just fine for a few hours last night. This morning... same problem came up again. I'm trying the Reset again and hopefully it works. I'll pay attention to see which file gets updated. (The file that seems to keep going upside down is Data/client/ini/rg_regdata.ini.orig ) So, short-term solution, Reset Updates, login, JOY!
  8. I didn't even think of Aero (though it is disabled.. probably why I didn't think of it..) Now onto the good news! (along with a big fat ./facepalm) On the Launcher, I chose to "reset all updates" POOF!!!! So, that did it for me. In the update log it showed a single file that had to be updated. Yes, it was that %$#@&! simple.
  9. I'm having a nearly identical problem. Windows Vista (only thing keeping me from upgrading to 7 is cash) NVidia 9600 GT 1. Launch NET7 as admin in WinXP svc2 compatibility mode. 2. Launcher (current version is 286) pulls up I use the following options: Packet Optimization is on, SSL on Port 443, with correct Server/Host info. 3. Hit "Play" 3a. Net7Proxy reports: Net7Proxy version 1.87 Using IP: 127.0.0.1 (127.0.0.1) 28/05/10 21:01:23 Attempting to connect to IP address: 87.106.15.67 28/05/10 21:01:23 Sending login. 28/05/10 21:01:24 login OK 28/05/10 21:01:24 UDP packet optimisation selected (reduces server load). 4. Hit "agree" on the EnB EULA., Splash Screen, cut-scene, chick pops up and asks for UN/PW. 5. Correct UN/PW entered hit accept. (I've triend both enter as well as accept because I'm F'n insane like that sometimes) 6. Client makes that "ding" accepted noise then POOF! Gone... 7. ????? 8. Profit Anyhow, I'm sure it's cosmic rays, or maybe there's a problem downstream somewhere. I have a feeling you're right that it's video card/driver related but I don't remember updating my drivers recently. I just got back in game about a week ago after a full and complete uninstall/registry clean and sacrifice to the gods of code (no virgins were available so it was Guiness and Twinkies). I had been chugging along nicely just about a month ago. Then I took a small vacation (damn employeer expecting me to work..) so basically, everything was ine for months, skipped an update or 2 possibly, client pooped. Nuke and Pave NET7/EnB, clean default path installation allowed me to get back in about 2 weeks ago. Tonight and yesterday it started doing it again. I gave you way too much info above just because I'm a bit of a techie myself and can't stand when a tiny missing detail costs me time. I apologize for the TLDR, I know "Forum posts should be like miniskirts. Long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep it interesting." Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. IT Security Systems Analyst for a hospital. Moved on from server admin/network security stuff, now I secure doors/CCTV/physical asset tracking (infants are physical assets.. lol) BTW.. if you've ever been worried about "Big Brother" all I have to say is, I've seen his tech and never forget there's a Federal Worker sitting behind the keyboard. These are the same people who run the DMV.. lmao!
  11. I just wanted to have that clarified (since I personally said "Oh SH**!" out loud within the Bosses earshot). Not that he cared but then it took 15 minutes to explain what an Emu is and that in this context it was not a large flightless bird.
  12. For the sake of keeping people from freaking out... this is an issue for the people at "enbclassic.com" not a problem for those of us using this (enb-emulator.com) particular Emu.... correct?
