Well...i put a plug up on the Westwood Studios site with links to Enb-emulator forum page and net-7.org download page..and also found the most current FAN video I could find on You Tube that was dated jan 2011 ...well the newest with any length to it....and linked them their (westwoods facebook page) also put links on the Earth & Beyond Emulator Page and another Earth and Beyond facebook page ...anyway i encourage people to get the word out and a guick facebook page link with a video from you tube on game play may be very effective to bring back or adding new people to the fold..... anyway figured the westwood devs would get a kick out of it.. anyway i encourage folks to promote this on your facebook pages...if you have like minded friends .this could be very effective....anyway my 2c worth Searing (still can't believe the project is LIVE.....(pinches arm)

i'm killing time here in the early am waiting for the Server to come back up (needs a restart but we kinda abused our server devs last nite and somewhat today ..in the wee hours...so i think they are way...crashed....i think a few may also suffer this am from 'Wife Aggro" anyway....the topic here is when and where and perhaps how did you find this EnB Emulator project....was it way back at the beginning of the project or recently? Anyway I was on Beta Server under Westwood and from then till Sunset when EA pulled the plug in 2004. Not being a programmer type i saved all my data disks/game info etc on the somewhat 'slim' hope that someday some programmer type would make a small "app" so i could at least get in game and fly around my empty EnB data disks ...and reminisce and look at the stations sectors etc..if nothing else that much. So in a nostalgic frame of mind in March of 2007....i was Googling on the web looking for some screen shots etc..when i found the project....and GASP they had a single user playable version ..that no only could you fly about in game on your little laptop you could actually do stuff! (much whooping it up at that point) Then reading on i saw that they were planning on making a "Server" version and revive the game as an emulator. (much more whooping it up at that point..at which point i think i pulled something) So in Jan 1st 2008 after midnight the launch of the first stress test (ST-1).....and we were off So..... For those of you who think we have not come far in the 5 years i've been in the project (I think the project has probably only been in existence for maybe 7 yrs)...anyway.....we have gone from single player ...no server all tools built from scratch all server hardware coding reverse engineered etc etc to the point we can call the project LIVE as of 11/9/2012 ......10 years and change since EnB was launched by Westwood and 8 years since the original EnB was killed by EA. Now that we are here and ALL our concentration can now be put into "Improving Content" and "Improved Gameplay" and anything else we can dream up w/o haveing to build an entire server/univers/dev tools/non-profit status/ etc etc Imagine what the next 5 years will be like with our laser like concentraion on "Game Improvement/Advancement".....its all about content now boys and girls... so brace yourself! Also promote the game (maybe wait till after our launch weekend here so we can get the bugs out) ..but add the net-7.org link and enb-emulator link to your facebook pages....if you are really ambitious ....we prob could use a newer version of a EnB Emulator video of game play on Youtube then the one on there 3years agon in ST-3....feel free to promote it I mean we are "LIVE" and that means to me the expectaion is that the hardware and software WILL work ...and now most of the staff's concentration in game will be on improving/refining/adding content....content ...content.........(you guys get bored easy...need to make lots of shiny missions/stuff) anyway enjoy the project and tell on this thread when you found the EnB emulator project and the circumstances ....many of us will be interested...especially on my part on the most recent of you gonna also try to add a simple poll option to this if it does not work ...well I'd like to see descriptions on how you found the project here anyway..... thanks for contributing to this modest little project (good thing it was a simple port right?) my 2c worth Searing GM

Ok Saturn is blackholing folks i can unblackhole you to Net-7 which means you can have a nice stroll of the station but as soon as you leave your black holed again so...unless you want to be like me and locked out for 1hr avoid i managed to unblackhole my toon...but i've seen the station before so it rapidly lost its charm anyway others are having the same troubles..but my gm clout on this has been nurtured....(blushes) anyway you've been warned if you read this warn others in game or TS.. hopefully the devs will let me out (doubtful) Searing

Er just a question i see it is Nov 1st and it says we have made the "nut" for November in donations.. is this correct? i did buy the upgrade for 60 bucks from amazon to win 8 pro ...amazon had a deal where you got a $30 gift card if you bought it before the launch date...so for $30 what the heck i figured i'd mess with it ( i have stuff i was planning on buying from Amazon this month anyway so it is a wash).. Ill put i .on a spare 500gb laptop drive i have around here i can put on my win7 machine p500 st-6844 toshiba..for $30 i was curious.. but a curious Searing is a terrible thing (ask the devs and tienbau) ....so i'm sure it will be an interesting experience...but no...it is gonna go safely on to a spare hd for this experiment.........stretch my dubious blowing up computers/servers/os's.....skills beyond the enb server to new higher vistas (er..bad pun) .. Well....seems the server has gone boom...i get an invalid ip when i try to get on....also net-7.org site is down too i see the [url="http://www.enb-emulator.com"]www.enb-emulator.com[/url] here is still fine...anyway just wondering if this is a plan'd patch or if something got dropped in the back room anyhoo.....(will now experiment and see if i can get on server with ip address only...good to have a goal) my 2c worth Searing

Was looking on forums for a new user on Team Speak 3 links and installs could not find anything (unless i'm just trip'ing past it). Anyway if I am correct there should be a couple places under installs and new users and prob even imho downloads on how to put up teamspeak 3 along with the info needed to get into our fourms anyway....it was pretty unclear to me if such a place was on forums since the revamp (of course many things are unclear to me) my 2c worth Searing

Well i don't know about you guys but a decrease request on monthly donations is a BIG DEAL especially when it is down what is that 48% decrease? I mean really from what was it $1250 to $650 ...wow.......no one can claim imho bang for your buck now.....(nor question our true effort as a non-profit ...again imho) good job just surprised that I have not seen more kudo's on this decrease perhaps someone should toot their own or the enb emulator's horn by placing this in the launcher announcements well anyway good job even if no manny others seem to notice this yet Searing
