Searing

Well a server dev which we have sleeping next to the server (someone has to feed the hamsters...) drags his chains bolted to the wall over to the server...he/she then goads the mutated server hamsters back on the treadmill....often he has to repeat this throughout the day/nite......we have to keep the radiation level high...in order for the specialized mutant hamsters to power the treadmill..thus we tend to burn out coders/server devs...we harvest their organs in Russia for hamster feed......as for the content devs i think they scavenge graveyards in a hunchback herd looking for 'brains" .....i think that is what runs the net-7.org site......simple really.... (my non programing "emotional" viewpoint on how this works) Searing

yeah i am experimenting with windows 8 on another partiton (dual boot) it sucks..but kinda like a horror movie i go back to it and find more details that suck as i look at it more...kinda a sucky spiral... anyway i use the classic shell app ....just google it...it seems to help somewhat but still kinda clunky anyway for those who did the full upgrade or have a new laptop and can't go back try classic shell...you don't like it just kill it in program removal my 2c worth Searing

[/quote] er....they need a sever dev to look at it...the good news the debug'ing stuff that they follow is working well.....most of the time the server dev comes in looks at the code and what broke ...goes no big deal ....notes the bug....and if it is SAFE reboots the server ...but kinda have to have someone look at the code or error before tossing the whole works bac up and making it worse. but in the wee am's they may be sleeping or at work on another part of the planet and can't get to it right away anyway that is my take on it i don't program (i am available for programing in Applesoft Basic for the Apple II computer...should that ever become needed..but I think that is doubtful) anyway thats my take on it my 2c worth Searing

Well not sure when you tried this but the server is currenly down.....so maybe that is it? I'm going on the above time when you made this posting ....thus why i mention this. Searing

Just wondering if that little fix above could be added as an app...ie when going thru the options for setup on the net-7.org patch part of the patch could that be condsiered an add on option (music downloaded seperately) don't code just wondering Searing

Well just a note ...just after the project here went LIVE 11/9/12...I posted a facebook comment with links to the site on the legacy "Westwood Studios" facebook page....today the put it up on their main comment area and with the comment of "Awesome" anyway figured people here would get a kick out of it....there are a few people that commented or put "liked" on their page but i can't remember if the were developers or not ..anyway check it out Also i'd encourage people to put up some links on your facebook page to [url="http://www.net-7.org"]www.net-7.org[/url] for the downloads and/or [url="http://www.enb-emulator.com"]www.enb-emulator.com[/url] or what seems to work the best on my facebook page is a game play demo....(or you can just grab such links and share from the westwood studios facebook page) I found it interesting that all my friends i told about this game.....for the past 3yrs ..".who never tried it"....now ....lazy bums that i associate with....can now somehow manage to hit a link for the youtbube video for gameplay on facebook and say..."nice game" er ...duh.......been telling them that forever...so the demo or a gameplay link works very well to get people fired up to download the game and try......i have the tv show review "extended play" on the westwood site with other youtube demos...er they gave the game 4 out of 5 stars there only complaint was we had no role playing option (its a fly in space game don't understand what ever role play you'd need besides don't get shot) Here is the "Extended Play" T.V. [/quote] when did you get the power supply...i've had them go out in as little as 2yrs.....you can get a cheap power supply tester from china on ebay for around 8 bucks last i looked....they usually have plugs for the old version power supplies and newer ones just a thought.... This is a poll on how many users we're on the original EnB from 2002 to 2004 versus how many users discovered the game afterwards (ie after EnB went Sunset in 2004) and discovered the game thru this emulator project? anyway pretty srtaight forward ..if it is way loaded towards the group that played it till 2004 we may have to do some more promotion huh? my 2c worth enjoy the poll Searing
