The problem I see is that you don't receive any build XP for making ammo and personally I believe that any interaction with a terminal whether it's to refine, analyze or build resulting in a successful accomplishment should contribute towards your over all chance of success including disassembling and component recovery.

I find that the Net7cofig is better. "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\EBCONFIG\net7config.exe" In Win 7 I had to pin it to start menu, Right click: Properties - Compatibility: XP SP3-Run as: Admin.

Doing the Lv30 TE Bonus Mission now: Roland Holmes. I have to talk with miners for his location but I've talked to every one on the base in 61 Cygni with no luck. Anyone know how to move the 17 step mission ahead?
