I forget how to run multi-client on one computer/monitor. I use to do it by running multi-microsoft clients and when i returned before and someone said to do it another way. Now i can not remember how to do it and i have searched and found a couple of ways but nothing seems right. Beautiful. I keep wondering hypothetically of course if things was different in such that EA did release all rights to the game. (cough like that will ever happen). All new game engine supporting the latest tools and graphics. Heads up display controlled by helmet.. your ship goes where you look and all controls are patched into a mic... if you want plasma missiles, just saw "switch plasma" (two words separate words to not confuse arming plasma if you was just talking to someone about plasma. With todays tech and minds.. who knows.. end game never really there. Of course all hypothetical since EA is .. well we all knew what they was back during sunset when we all was sitting around and chatting in-game when the lights was turned off. Yes I was there.

Ty! I finally got it to finally work. Unfortunately not before I accidently grabbed my monitor a little to much (its on a swivel base) and cracked the entire right side of the screen. I used just two fingers and that was the problem, the focused point of contact was a little to much for the screen.. just heard a slight snap and pop went the screen. ugn. Anyways, thank you!

Anybody, i am struggling to figure this out. I have crashed my game multiple times because of it.

I take it that this no longer exists? I have tried connecting, i have tried net-7, net-7.org searches and come up empty.

Will not hover over the task bar at any time.. thats the problem

I knew this before but have forgotten how too.. I have multiple clients windows running. The windows are stacked on top of each other and I do not know how to move those windows. Sorry if this has been asked before, i have looked and can not find anything. thank you

I am to play, but I am trying to figure out how to run multiple characters myself. I am not having any luck yet on it.

I am trying to figure out how to easily run multiple accounts on Windows 10. I have tried creating a new Microsoft account, and running the client from their, I log into my client and create a new character.. then after selecting a new name for the character and clicking next the screen locks up. My main (which is running) will display another person tried to login. I have also tried just running the client again and go through the same process, and something happens.. game locks up. My main will again say someone is trying to login. My main is still playable during all of this. Sorry, I am sure this has been answered somewhere before, I did searches but kept coming back with not what I am looking for. I can be on TS to be walked through this process if necessary. Thank you in advance.

Wow, this is amazing. I was at Sunset on September 22, 2004 with all the other pilots and here this game is still alive. Truly amazing after 16 years. I have not been on in the game for many years now, but I hope too return soon. I have an old computer with no graphics card and limited hard drive and no ram to really play. Hopefully later this year I can change that up just so i can play. I use GeForce Now to play Empyrion thru steam, and it is somewhat similar to Earth and Beyond, but lacks in certain areas but has its advantages in other areas. Anyways playing Empyrion has brought me back here (again). I will see what I can do in the near future to join once again.

Played live up to the point they turned the lights off. We (guild) was all grouped up when lights went out. Orion server, leader was Gropos. Out of all the games I have ever played (which is allot) this game has brought me some of my closest friends that I still keep in contact with. I just started playing again just a week ago, I have a long way to go as I will be five toons that I once had and fought all five in formation all at once. Tricout

I have not played since 2012. I have reinstalled the game, and it appears all is working fine I am registored obviously here and the portal when I try to login to the game, it states "I am sorry, but I can not validate your login information" I did have to reset my passwords on the forums and portal (which is the same). I have not gotten a confirmination email and believe that could be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been playing No Man's Sky, and the more I have played it... the more I realized how much I missed E&B. I would love to return to the game. Thanks

I have an account on both the forums and net7, I also created a game account which is different then the prior two items.  I have tried to log on with each account (but mainly game account) several times, and no luck.  Everything seems to be working fine, but at game logon she states:   "I'm sorry, but I am still unable to validate your log on information"   Plus a pop up stating something about server maintenance and/or problems with my ISP.    Any help would be greatly appreciated.   (I should note that the IP address is different then my ip address during start of LaunchNet7, but as of yet I have not found how to change that.)     Maybe something about a Certificate?        

I am an old fan of E&B and I am going to attempt to install/play the Emu.   I used to play with Gropos and Zmayes before the sunset, if anybody remembers them please hit me up and hopefully I will be able to join you all.   At one point I did run the Emu on an older system, but only briefly... hopefully I can actually play on my new laptop.   Sincerely Onocep  TT  

Same error, not finding patch.  I have looked and can not find the post to redirect the launcher can someone point me in the right direction on how to redirect?

Going to give this one more shot and see if I can resolve this, missing getting to play. Monday evening I will be on Teamspeak, and if someone would care to look at my system via the Remote Desktop Connection I would be happy for someone to take a look at my system and files for E & B. I will be on Teamspeak around 7 p.m. Eastern or if someone posts here when they are available. I work tonight, but will be off 6 am eastern Monday morning for the next two days. Thanks

Running XP sp 3, under admin rights on all accounts

I have finished upgrading directx and graphics drivers, still same response. I have downloaded so many differient utilities to help me try and figure out the problem that my "once" empty desktop is now about 3/4 full. I think I am done trying to figure this out, i am no means a computer expert and feel if i keep messing around with stuff that I halve hazardly understand that I will probably end up crashing my whole system and not get it back up. So if I don't get back on, I wish my guild Equinox and my friends that I have met over that last few months best wishes. And, thanks to all of you that tryed to help.

Going on two weeks and still not able to play. Got to thinking that when in installed .net framework that maybe it didnt work. So after some digging I found a website that checked to to see what .net framework i had. http://www.hanselman.com/smallestdotnet/ "Seem you're totally up to date! After having time to uninstall and reinstalling and doing all the updates I finally got to see an error in debugging. Tryed the configuration and same results as in video. Performance test will not run, probably due to this computer being very old and doesn't have much in the video graphics department (Diamond S60 32mb ddr Radeon 7000 PCI). Wish I knew what to do, been over a week now since I have been able to play.

I installed .NET Framework and VC++ runtimes plus uninstalled net 7 and reinstalled and I still have the exact same issue. Not geared towards this type of computer work so I do not know if I am doing everything correctly. Yes I am running xp with admin rights. I do know until this weekend I have ran the game with no issues that I couldnt resolve really on my own, and this one diffinately has me stumped.

I tryed to run the game today, but this time i used the debug feature in net 7. I hope i got the right txt file, but here it is.
