  1.   Lol. Gotta go watch that flick sometime soon again :)
  2. Did you have Windows set to use all cores of the processor?   For Windows 7 : Startbutton, Run, type MSCONFIG and press enter. go to the Startup Tab, and select Advanced Options. There you can set the cores windows can use, as well as how much memory it can use.   (did this from a Dutch version, so not sure if the tab/buttons are correctly)   I think it's about the same for Windows 8, but not sure. If someone knows, post it here.   Hope it helps.
  3. How are they updated?   Mine currently shows i'm still OL 129 (Master), but ingame i'm 139 (Grandmaster) I thought they updated automatically?
  4. Seen something like this once, after using one of those "Satellite Terminals". Installed things i didn't have. May be a "Graphical" error though.

    Warder...

Imo, I'd say make ALL raids triggerable.   You need to work together to create a trigger. Should not be something that a single person could get in minutes, but should be an efford for entire guilds (Mining, killing and building needed to get the trigger). For non-guilded people, there should at least be 1 week in total a month, where the guilds work together to create the trigger for an public raid. In exchange, the guilds that participated in the creating of the trigger, could get a part for a new trigger, wich they can use for a guildraid(randomized between parts and raid, so you won't get items for 1 certain raid only), or saved for the next public raid.   This would enchance the co-operation between guilds, and give everyone a chance. Guilds could work together as well combining trigger materials and sharing the raid(s).   Example, an boss has an chance to drop an item, needed for an raid, and that raid, gives drops for yet another raid, or the same raid, etc.   This would give raids meaning as well. You, and others have to work for participation in a raid, making them more "special"
  6. Damn, truely sad news. My condolances to you, your family and friends.
  7. Have you tried installing into a different directory? I've heard of programs/games having trouble with the (x86) thing.   I'ts worth a try.
  8. I myself got UPC as an provider, and experience a lot of gate/dock/undock/WH crashes as well. Changing the MTU didn't help, as well as other things offered to fix the problem. Sometimes, i can play a long time before i get gate crashes, and then suddenly it starts happening. I don't mean once or twice, but multiple times after another.   Besides the gate crashes, the game throws me back to the char selection, login screen, or even a complete CTD while gating/docking/undocking or wormholing on occasion.   If i stay inside a station or in space for a bit too long (usually 10/20 minutes) without doing anything, the game also becomes  unresponsive. I can walk/fly around (no warp), but buttons, or even the chat, do not work anymore, and i have to /quit and restart.   Since multiple people with different providers share the same problems, it makes me think it's not the provider that's causing the problems, but has to be something else. Hell, it makes me wonder if the problem is actually at the player's side, since no rig-setup is the same, yet lots of folks have these issues.
  9. I like Terell's idea as well.   Random Spawns (Mob CL according to sector). The drops from those mobs could also give the economy a boost, since they are pretty uncommon, thus worth (lots of) credits. It also makes exploring worthwile some more. Now, most things you'll find are hidden ore or hulk fields, but imagine that you come across one of those random MoB's, kill it and get a nice item (or two) that could be worth millions.   Killed it in that spot?, it'll spawn somewhere else in the sector, making camping useless.   Maybe even add something like that Quartermaster. Make it a really rare MoB, but you can buy certain items from him that are usually drop only. Only make it sell 1 item at a time, and it should be quite expensive.   Heck, let's take it a step further. Everyone who played Diablo knows about those "Hoarders" or "Treasure Goblins". Why not have such a mob in EnB :)
  10. Same for me in FireFox.   Sometimes it gives an error, but 1 or 2 tries later it works normally.
  11. The Voltoi drop some nice things too. If you can handle them that is. Killed one at CL30 (took a long time though :P), and got a "common" drop (1 only) that was worth 90k. Stack of that would be worth a lot credit wise, and you might find some stuff you, an alt, or guild members could print.
  12. There should be NO enforcing on this matter. It should just become etiquette. That would make a game much more enjoyable. Ofcourse you are going to have D**ks though.   Maybe add a rule that if you camp a spot, and killed the mob twice, let someone else try twice after that, and so on. Will be hard with 24+ hrs spawn though, hence it would be better if "bosses" were placed on item activation or something. Could be possible i think, since Job-Mobs are fixed to a player as well.
  13. Camping is becoming a problem as we get more and more players, people want items, and with (for most bosses) pretty long timers, you can expect these things. 90% of the time though, the campers are players that want a certain item for an alt though.   Hence i opted for the CTRL-T and asking thing, so you can be (almost) sure if a spot is free or not.   I can understand if some-one is P/O'd, that when a timer reaches it's end, the mob spawns, and someone comes in and tries to/ or gets the kill for something you have been waiting for (happened to me multiple times). 10 or maybe 60 minute spawns shouldn't be a (real) problem, but when you have spawns that takes 24 or more hours, things get out of hand.   I do cloak at a spot, but thats more due to the fact that mobs from 20+k come to the spot where you are at, and overcrowd the whole nav (Varen's Girdle Ostrae nav 2 for example. Got a 0.5 sig, but when i start to attack a mob there, even the 31's from nav 1 come towards nav 2.....same with the crystal mobs to the north)   There are four options:   1: Triggered Bosses. You need an item to bring out the boss-mob, but that does not prevent others to kill it when you "summoned" it.   2: Instanced bosses. You bring an item, that "teleports" you to a "personal sector" to kill the boss.   3: Shorten the timers. Unlike "Live", we do not have the amount of players as were present at those times, so if 60 to 100 people are online, we don't need timers of 24+ hours.   4: Make ALL items tradable, but this isn't really an option, since you want to work (camp) for some items.   And we all know, these options are not possible. Maybe the first and third ones, but still.     As for "fair" rules, i guess these might work?   Make yourself known if another person arrives at the spot, if you are camping a spot (Uncloak or via Local) Check if a spot is taken or not, also via Local/Nav location. Maybe even via New Players and/or General chat. If you camp, and killed the boss multiple times and didn't get what you want, let some-one else try. You might be lucky the next time you camp there yourself. Don't go in guns blazing, if you are not sure if someone else is there, waiting for the timer to expire. <-- This is the main problem with bosses. Every-one wants to get it, but what could an explorer or trader do if a warrior warps in and takes the kill.   There are probably a lot more that can be added, so let's get those rules known.
  14. No offence, but if you don't care if someone is waiting for a mob/boss to spawn, and go for the kill, then you can expect such answer and/or that someone going for what he/she was waiting for. Next to that, you say, "let Savic decide", yet you take it to the forums. Isn't that "Naming and Shaming"? I believe that is also against the ToS.   Best thing to do i guess, is selecting the Nav point, use Ctrl T and ask if someone is camping there (in Local) That way you can be sure if a spot is free or not.
  15. Same here. Disabled IPv6, changed MTU, opened ports in my router, turned on landing/docking/gating cams, changed TSO settings (Can't connect at all when doing that), tried Lock Port (Won't load past galaxyscreen).   I'm on Win7 Ultimate 64 bit, running the game with XP SP3 compatibility) Whenever the game hangs at the loading screen, it shows a green arrow, saying "Waiting for Server" in the taskbar, and i have to right-click that and exit.

    Push Missions

Is that one in Satrun one of those? Where you have to get some ID and pick sides.
  17. Me too. Had a "Gate Crash", and since then i'm not going beyond the first galaxyscreen.
  18. I have an idea for a third explorer spec.   Archaeologist Specialization:   The Archaeologist  is the one to find and uncover things no-one else can.   They are trained to uncover new/ancient resources and items. What they lack in combat and trade abilities they make up with new technologies and ancient resources.   Their expertise lies in finding hidden fields, new resources , temples (on planets) and Alien Shipwrecks. Their specialty lies in creating new item builds (Reactors, Devices, Shields, Engines and weapons (depending on race, restricted to the specialization) For this, new skills should be introduced. Uncover, See Hidden, Build Artifact, and maybe  a new item (wich would replace a weapon slot) called an Extractor (lvl 1 to 9) Skills they should be depending on: Scan (with a bonus) See Hidden : The ability to find hidden (cloaked?) fields, temples and wrecks. Uncover : before Extracting, finds need to be uncovered before they can be extracted. Extract Build Artifact Some sort of reactor recharge skill Pro's : The only class that can find the new resources The only class that can build the artefact(s) Con's: Cannot prospect normal ores Cannot build normal items Bad at combat and trading.   --- This probably need to have a lot added to the game though, so i'm not sure if it can be done. Sounds nice though :)
  19. Maybe it's time for the Mazzaroth Maelstrom (? The one in Swoop) and/or the V'rix to make an appearance :P
  20. When i want to check the guild window, it crashes "Main.exe" (states no error whatsoever besides the one that it stopped working) Lag thing solved by hard-resetting modem and router. Think something was glitched in one of them.
  21. If possible, Decorations and X-mas music on stations would be nice Or maybe something like the Abominations that were used on Halloween in Live. Place them on different spots, according to level, so anyone can kill them and get good to great loot. Could use the Pumpkin-models for this?
