There's too many people in the world anyway. There needs to be some chlorine added to our gene pool somewhere to thin out the herd. So, gamma ray bursts, epidemic plagues, total failure of power grids... bring 'em on. It will suck and I might even fall victim to the chlorine but there it is. As for these sensitive sites... they need to take a queue from Admiral Adama. No inter-connected networks to mission critical systems. Cylons couldn't install a virus to the Galactica so it was able to FTL away. DOD already has restrictions on flash drives on their internal networks to prevent internal installations. I'm by no means advocating for a kill-switch on the internet. I'm mainly saying that if you want to bake a cake then you need to have an oven mitt handy to pull out it out of the oven when done. Or be ready to enjoy your cake while your hands are bandaged.

I played AA for a while after EnB died. I actually kinda liked it. The article is correct, though, that there wasn't enough depth or purpose to the whole thing. All in all I enjoyed it more than my stint in AO and COH.

Pretty sure that the kicking had more to do with the attitude towards that GM in game than it did the topic itself.

Experiencing the same thing tonite. Also noted a series of errors in the command window stating "Bad opcode" with a string after that which I did not catch. Lots of gating to desktop tonite.

Hi all, Not sure if this has been suggested before but thought I would throw it out there. How about a random high level named mob spawn somewhere and along with it have a Net-7 broadcast go out saying something like "the Bunyip has escaped in F7 and is now causing havoc at xyz coordinates." Then a hunting group can form up to find said coordinates and kill the mob for points and such. Obvious problems would be KS'ing, provided two hunting groups found it at the same time but just throwing this out there.

While I find this idea intriguing I do foresee issues with it. The most prominent issue would be (for me) in the area of hunting for those being "bountied". For example, I am killing Chavez in Odin's Rex when along comes another player who wants to hunt in that spot. They see me and decide that I need to be chased away. So, they put a bounty on me and now I'm griefed for the next 24 in game hours (for me this would be about 8 to 10 days) and not be able to just sit happily somewhere and kill things. This would completely blow things for me and be a huge detriment to my desire to play this game. And me not playing EnB would take some doing. Sorry Merlin... love the concept but the problem is the people.

I agree with the disappointment over it being 8.5 x 14. I'll need to come up with some method to make it more compact while adding in the nearly 25 other sectors that will eventually have ore fields. Will take some time but have an idea.

Can anyone host this file I've got for the ore list in Excel?

I'm doing a quick Excel spreadsheet and should be done with it in about two hours (wife faction dependent). I expect it to be about 6 pages on legal paper in landscape mode. Fully sortable by Ore, level, group, and system. Will even be able to do a quick sort to find all ores available within a specific system. Easily modifiable as well. Simply add the new ore and resort. Will automatically sort to where it should be by level, group and alphabetical sorting of ore name. Anyways, back to work and wife faction.

Server is having small issues after most recent reboot tonight. Devs are currently NOT able to get in even though they are trying because we are all trying to get in as well. Server has a cap of 50 players right now and devs need in so they can fix it. Please guys, give them a bit before trying to log in again. Let's let them finish their work so we can enjoy the game again. Thanks

Hey all... I've followed the instructions for creating a toon using the Character Creator but it is not importing to EnB. I've reinstalled the client, update and Net7 but still nothing. Is there something more obvious that I'm oblivious to?

I have to agree with the devs on this one. Microtransactions have the nasty habit of separating the player base by those who can and those who can't. Also, once you start doing this, then you have to start worrying about bringing in too much money. How's that for irony. You bring in too much and EA could start taking a look at the game and ask where all the money is going to and wanting the accountings and all that. The devs here have better things to do than worry about that. IE... jobs, develop game, ensure wife/family faction stays intact. If anything, I would just suggest making the donation status and goals more prominent on the webpage so people see it and may think to themselves "you know... I'm having a great time with my old love and glad these guys took their time and abilities to resurrect this great game. I think I'll give $10 this month."
