synnical77
I've had a few issues trying to get E&B running. I just discovered this site yesterday (I played E&B before the apocalypse though). Here's the steps that I've taken in between some uninstalls/reinstalls of E&B and Net7. I'm running on WinXP. 1. Installed eandb_demo.exe 2. Installed Net-7_Install.exe and allowed it to install patch and update (It also confirmed that I'm admin). 3. Ran E&B Configuration and set resolution to 1024x768 4. Ran LaunchNet7 from desktop **this is where the problems start: The info that displays is that I'm running LaunchNet7 v1.9.9. There's a 'Update available' window that says: Application:Net7 Current Version: Version cannot be determined. New Version: 357 Path: C:\Program Files\Net-7 Clicking Update starts performing the update but it halts at an error: *Update Failed. Downloaded file is invalid. Hash of downloaded file and hash in server manifest does not match. File: C:\Program Files\Net-7\bin\cdata.dat Reading other forum posts I found a link to someone's Net7 folder (http://www.filedropper.com/net7). I took the cdata.dat from that archive and popped it into my net-7 install directory, then ran LaunchNet7 again: This still brings up the same Update Available window/info but this time the Net-7 update works. Now the launcher brings up another Update Available windows: Application: Client Current Version: Version cannot be determined New Version: 93 Path: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth Beyond Hitting Update starts this process but it halts at: *Update Failed. Downloaded file is invalid. Hash of downloaded file and hash in server manifest does not match. File: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Earth & Beyond\Data\common\decal_textures.ini This time I can hit SKIP and get to the LaunchNet7 controls (It's still v1.9.9 though). Host is sunrise.net-7.org. ONLINE-159. Clicking PLAY starts game. When trying to log in I get INV-300 error. I also tried copying everything from the posted Net7 install to my net7 directory but get the same results (even still reports v1.9.9). Any suggestions?
