Game Plays On 1/4 Screen On My New Computor

I bought a new computer and downloaded all content. When I play the game it only appears on 1/4 of my screen. Any thoughts.

You have to run enbconfig.exe and set it to the resolution you want to play in.

In order for the settings to stick, you have to run it as an administrator.

 

When you run the launcher, go to the 'Tools' tab at the top.

You'll find it there.

you can also "tweak" the screen size in windows 7 running windows mode by:

 

go to the start bar and type "regedit" in the search box...

open the folder "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"

then in that folder open the folder "SOFTWARE"

then in that folder open the folder "Wow6432node"

then in that folder open the folder "Westwood Studios"

then in that folder open the folder "Earth and Beyond"

now there will be a folder "Render" just click on that folder

now in the right side of the registry editor you will see a list starting with "default"

scroll down to the "RenderDeviceHeight" and right click on modify..

click on the "Decimal" box then you can decrease/increase the number in the vaule data box to adjust the height,only change the value in small increments to adjust the screen the way you like it....

click ok and now scroll down to the "RenderDeviceWidth" follow the same procedure as you did in the "height" section....remember you must click on the decimal box first then change the value data in small increments to adjust to what you like...

this works for the windows 7 os,i dont know if it is the same in win8/10...

i hope this helps in fitting the screen to way you like it...

this is for the windows mode only and not "run in full screen"

I have the same problem, I downloaded and installed both client and Net-7 from downloads twice. It plays fine but in just a small window, when I hit tools on launcher

I get the E&B Config but clicking on that does nothing.

I used Apps and went to EA  Games and found Earth and Beyond Config, right click run as admin. Same thing nothing happens.

 

Any help would be nice, thank you

First, make sure all your executables are running in compatibility mode for XP service pack 3.

Second, make sure that all also are flagged to run as administrator.

Run EBconfig.exe and set it to windowed mode and adjust the resolution to the same as your desktop's chosen setting.

After, for tweaking window size, follow cimbad's earlier post regarding registry entries.

Ok, thank you for the reply ArthurDent. I think maybe this is a little beyond me, I have no idea what or how you run in compatibility mode for xp service pack 3. Is this a part of windows 10?

 

Only reason I know you can run in admin is I read it on this forum somewhere.

To run in compatability mode, find the file in windows explorer,

right click it and click on properties.

Then click on the compatability tab.

Check the box 'Run in Compatability mode'

Then in the dropdown, choose 'Windows Xp (Service Pack 3)

 

Do this for :

e&b.exe  Located in Program Files/ea games/ earth and beyond folder

e&bconfig.exe Located in Program Files/ea games/ earth and beyond/ebconfig folder

net7proxy.exe Located in Program Files/Net-7/Bin/ folder
