GM sponsered raids

Recommended Posts

We were doing a BL sponsered raid 1 of 2 groups we had the smaller group but were there doing damage when the mob finaley went down it was annouced that 2 non trade items dropped.

But when it was time to roll only 1 of the items got rolled for and the bigger group ended up with the other item, and did not even roll for that item. IT was not fair to all involved that a guild group would do that and not give the others a chance at the uber item.We wasted our ammo just like they did but because they had more in group they got the credit for the kill, if they think they deserve the items because of group size it just isn't fair. It makes me almost not want to even try for the items, just because we are a smaller guild and can't form a big group at the drop of a hat leaves us out.

I won't mention the guild involved but they know who they are maybe 1 day they will get a consence.

Are we talking about Raids (Triggered multi stage spawns) or Events (Singular Bosses spawned in unique locations)?

All Items should be rolled on with all involved having a choice to roll or not, If this is Diff contact the Guilds leader, trust me if this is going on they want to hear ya.

On the comment of larger Guilds passing/not rolling on items in a raid,  BS  They have just as much right to roll on the items as you do. Their Guild has the same access to these spawns as you do (I assume you fall under the Public?)  We are talking of a BL triggered raid, everyone is allowed an equal shot AS LONG AS THEY PLAY NICE.

Events (Singular/Multi Boss Spawns out of place/norm location) on the other hand I belive do favor the guilds. They are able to form groups faster and be on the target. Also getting an invite to join one of these groups is near impossible, a few can take the boss so why share the loot with a non-guildie?

I don't raid ....BUT!!! isn't there raid rules someplace floating around in here?  Also this topic might be best placed into one of the many other "We hate BI" threads?

Just saying...

If it is a BL (or any GM for that matter) spawned raid then he usually requests the public to come and play. Everyone is included in his raids. So, everyone involved in that raid should also be included in the rolling for any loot that drops.  That includes those smaller groups that didn't deal all the damage but showed up and fought as hard as the rest.

I would like to reiterate what Red said in regards to speaking to the leadership of this (these) guilds. I am sure they can get a handle on what is going on and get it straightened out so it doesn't happen again.

I am sorry that you had to put a post in the public forums to try and get some assistance with this issue. I hope it gets sorted out for you. Best of luck
