tkiddjr
Ok so here is the deal. I looked on the forums, did all the steps, and created the dern thing. It's there. Did everything as the guide said so. So on that note, my issue is finding the dern thing to rename and put it into the correct game account. I am running off of Vista. I can't search "avatar". It doesn't exist anywhere. I ran the dern thing in Admin and even went back and checked again and the character shows up. So IDK. Help please! LOL Thanks. tkiddjr
Created a third account after many attempts to locate the dern files. Even had help in game directing me. BUT for future reference. Create a new account just for creating toons and then xfer them over. A whole lot less headaches. haha
Kingdud
Vista should use a disk layout similar to Windows 7. You'll need to go to: Enable/show hidden files and folders. In Win7, this is Organize -> Folder and Search Options -> View tab -> Show hidden files, folders, and drives. C:\ProgramData\WestwoodStudios\Earth & Beyond\Character and Starship Creator\ The Avatar files should be in there, assuming you made the avatar with the Character & Starship creator. Terrell [BT]
When you create an avatar in the Character & Starship creator, the first one you create always goes in the same place. IIRC the rightmost spot. If you've already got a character there on the account you're logging in to, it will not appear, as it doesn't overwrite existing characters. When you create new characters, use the location in the creator, that's in the same place as you have a free spot in the account you want the character to be. If you don't want to go looking for the avatar files, simply put an "empty" character in that first spot. By an "empty" character I mean one you don't intend to use, so no need to do any of the customization for such a character. Simply hit next at every step. For the other 4 slots, you can pick which space to use. The character slots are as follows from left to right. 3, 5, 2, 4, 1 This applies to the game as well, not just the character & starship creator.
